It took me about 2-3 days to finish my first fold, then another 2-3 days for the results to be registered, just try checking it again in a few days.

The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with the package. The error code is 2203.
I get that error when I try to install the .msi ones. The console works fine but I would rather use the other one. Anybody know how to fix this. Tried running as administrator and without UAC turned on. On Vista 32bit home premium.
Any help would be appreciated.

No clue mate, maybe try installing the full package and running compatibility mode?

well I have just decided to start this up since i got a new computer. It's an imac. OS is OS X 10.6.2. 3.06 GHz intel core 2 dou, 4 gb of mem. (not sure about the graphics card). annnyway, I followed the instructions on this page. I managed to get it all set up, but after I clicked on 'Start Folding@home" I got a message that said it needed to install a 'helper'. In that popup box i clicked on Install. Now nothing seems to be happening. When i try to open up the folding@home application it tells me it's not installed completely or installed inappropriately.
Can anyone help a brother out?

Sorry, I don't know how to fix your problem, but on my problem above I found out how to fix it.
My UAC was disabled, so it wasn't giving it permission to install. All I had to do was reinable it and install.
Might be helpful if anyone has the same problem.

Ok everyone so i just downloaded Folding@home, I installed the Systray dwnload and entered in "Srching4Reality" as my username and then 12679 for the team number. My question is: Does the folding@home program automatically associate my username/team with my profile on shroomery? (so the helix automatically will pop up once I start folding for a few days?)

You need to enter it in your profile settings for the shroomery. I think all you have to do is enter you f@h username, and if it has returned any points for the shroomery team, you get a helix.

Yay I finally made it above the 1000th donor for shroomery team. It only took a couple weeks of folding.

Just heard about this for the first time...Nice! I'm surprised this is never mentioned on social media sites such as Digg.
Now I have an excuse to leave my computer on all night.

I got the CPU version working, but I have an overclocked 5850 so I downloaded the GPU2 version and it says my driver/video card isn't supported. I remember when I first got the card it actually asked me if I wanted to install folding@home and I did and it gave me the same error.
Anyone know if this is a Windows 7 issue?
Too bad I wanna see how fast my GPU would go! ha.

Just get the standard x86 version - here's the download link:
