Dung Loving or deadly?
    #12667683 - 06/01/10 06:56 PM (4 years, 6 months ago)

These mushrooms were found in cow pastures growing on and around the dung. They have brown caps yellowing towards the center. They all have a nipple near the center. The gills are nearly distant and off white to light brown. Sticky cap when wet. not bruised blue. all my research points to them being at least psilocybin mushrooms, but I'm triple checking. if there's not enough info here for anyone to say yes or no please let me know. Thanks for the help. (no spore print yet. still drying) oh ya, one more question, i was told if you eat psilocybin mushrooms fresh they're more potent. is this true? thanks again

Post some better pictures! If they aren't staining blue I doubt they are psilocybes.

ah shitty now I feel fucking stupid.
Sorry, meant to specify; I can not tell you from looking at these pictures, but that was a guess. ( I could have told you they "weren't active".. )

& i'm really not too bad at ID'ing when it comes to species i'm familiar with.. i've gotten a few right before.  :uhoh:

Haha, and it never will be. I can defiantly tell you what's active, and what's not, though. ( Only reason I took it farther than that is because i'm trying to learn
