Both great links, I thoroughly recommend.
I miss uare, when I came back to this forum he was no where to be seen. I always used to get on well with him.

I am currently in college so unfortunately I usually end up moving like once a year ... or more....
I'm thinking about starting growing some loph's since they're small and should be easier to move compared to other plants of similar age.
Where should I start at... seeds? or find one already growing to buy / trade for?
I would like to try grafting one, as I have a few small pedros that have been the start of my collection. ( and a large peruvian apple cactus that i think would be a great rootstalk once it's rooted well.

Both?!
Some seeds for growing to maturity yourself, and use some for grafting, failing a graft with an established plant isn't nice. And those that take will be at flowering size rather quickly. An older plant will provide plenty of free seed over time too, with the bonus of a better form than grafted specimens (imo) .

mostly_harmless those are some fantastic lophs my man. are they seed grown? or did you buy them like that?
those are a great age. i bet you get many flowers from them.
i had a dream that i was harvesting seeds from one of my plants. i did not expect many seeds but i got a huge pile of them. then i threw them on the ground and they grew.
i really have to curb my alcohol intake.

nice and beautiful tap roots.
i may be the only fool on here that gets excited seeing that.
edit- try and get some clay pots. nothing against plastic but clay pots seem to wick away water much better. just a tip.
