Millions have died in car accidents... so by your logic, cars are bad right?
Drugs are simply tools, they are not inherently good or bad.
The user is the one responsible for how they are used.

Exactly. My favorite uncle was killed in a gun accident when I was a kid, but I don't blames guns for his death.
People die from all sorts of causes. It's a natural part of life, and it happens to everyone eventually.
In fact, I'll go so far as to say that I envy those who die under the influence of drugs, particularly opiates.
What more could you ask for than to float away into a painless void?

To anyone talking about opiate X is better than opiate Y once you get into the hard core opiates they are basically the same. Of course there are differences for instance hydromorphone has a strong rush, but not quite the duration of heroin. The only reason Heroin is so prevelent is because of its price and rush. You don't see people orally taking heroin because its not very effective. You see people banging it because this is highly effective. IMO Heroin, Hydromorphone, Oxymorphone, Fent... its all pretty much the same high with differences in duration and rush.

If i ever had to have any type of surgery, especially with sensitive nerve endings involved i would hope to god the doctors would give me the mercy of pain relief.
I just said i will never fuck with them recreationally. Never have never will. Its a dangerous road to even walk alongside.
I have things that make me feel good already. Weed, peyote, acid. what the fuck do i need opiates for? Why would i need an addiction that puts a void in my life and makes my happiness dependent on where my next 10 dollar bag is coming from?

tolerance to what? there's a reason your eyes go needle thin on heroin, because it limits your sight to everything.
i've been down a destructive path, but i've never tried to bring myself to the brink of death for a convoluted and pointless opiate high.

I was a junkie but I've been clean for months now. Heroin addicts are helped better when they're treated with kindness and not with words of hatred. I don't think it's necessarily fair to say that people always make an informed decision when they choose to use opiates; sometimes the naivety of youth and that feeling of invincibility overrides one's sense of caution. Show some heart, man.

what difference does it make if you're an experienced or inexperienced addict? you're still a fucking addict. if opiates make you more tolerant to excuses then i don't want to get on your bus.
i grow what i consume and it brings me more happiness and joy than some junk bag from a shady shithole ever will.

I never made a conscious decision to get addicted... I started off by being medically prescribed medication for pain, and it went from there.
I'm just saying, not all of us choose to be junkies... I don't look down on those who do, but sometimes it just happens before you know it.
I think anyone who's ever been addicted to opiates can relate and sympathize with anyone else who has.
When you go through something like that together, you're able to understand each other better than anyone who hasn't.
I'm currently completely sober, but I have constant cravings. I don't think they'll ever go away either.

How long have you been sober? They'll go away with time, particularly if you exercise and eat lots of chocolate to help raise your body's natural supply of endorphins.
Not to say that getting addicted has been beneficial for my natural brain chemistry, but at least I don't feel that constant tug to use opiates anymore. Getting rid of any possible connections helped a lot too. Good luck, brother.

Kids find out from friends you dont necessarily get hooked on the first try, they realize the lie and later on they die. end of story. Lying to the people causes nothing short of distrust. This distrust is the root of so much curiousity imho. People want the truth. If you dont give it to them upfront and correctly they seek it theirself. Curiousity definitely killed the cat but the lie about certain death kept the cat coming back for more.
Just wish the government would stop lying to the public about marijuana dangers. I'd hate to see more kids hooked on heroin because of it
