Liquidsmoke was also into your favorite band way before they were well known. He was down with macs when they weren't cool. No such thing as someone being proud of their home team when they do good, only unconditional love is reasonable. And never mind that team rosters change constantly, you have to love the logo and branding itself. If the players fuck up you have to still love them, it makes them sad otherwise. Their lives are hard and depressing enough as is, trapped miners have nothing on them.
Laying it on thick enough for everyone?

well, that explains alot.
Oh, yeah, i'm sorry for not going to a state university and spending way too much money for basically the same 2 year education. It isn't true at all that universities are only better than CC's for completing majors and for getting higher education. I'm stupid for saving 10,000 dollars to handle the basics. I'm sorry, sir god of the internet

Even through sarcasm, there is truth to that. True fans do love their teams even if they hate them (love and hate can be simultaneous, just ask anyone who's married), through good and bad, you support them, you suffer with them.
You go through the ups and downs, and you keep wearing their jearseys. That's what true fans do.
None of this "oh i started following them cuz they started doing well again" bullshit.

Well players change so who are you really supporting? If its not the players then its just the 'team' right? The team then seems to me to just be an embodiment of pride in ones city. But if the team isn't good then it's just a representation of bloat in the city as you have overpaid assholes who are lounging around hollywood while you are stuck on the 10.

I guess I dont see why it's bullshit. If my favorite band starts to blow Ill stop buying their albums and going to their shows. Release an album I like and Im
And yea Im part of the reason that LA isn't a sports city

You're supporting the franchise, and any players who've contributed to it. As for players who come and go, I think people can respect them if they've invested in the franchise.
Like people in LA can hate Shaq, but that's just being kind of ungrateful if you ask me.
And going back to your Band analogy, I figure if it's a band you really really love, you'd still go to their concerts to hear their old songs live, even if their new shit sounds like crap or wasn't as good.
Like I'll still go see Roger Waters despite not liking any Floyd albums after the Wall.
But that's what fanhood and loyalty is.

But would you go see Pink Floyd if all the members of the band were different? Would you be interested in the Velvet Underground after Lou Reed left in the early 70's and it was just the bassist they brought in after Cale? You might if they were good right? But if they sucked youd say, man fuck the Velvet Underground now

Football is months away and to me baseball does not qualify as a sport since it lacks excitement.
No, time to hibernate that part of myself until fall comes around once again..
See you then.
