Here's today's haul...I had to walk my ass off for these! At least a couple miles before I even found one!
I only got ten today but they were all young and fresh. I'm sure there are many more out there, but the bush is thick and most of it is privately owned.

Beautiful shots/mushrooms, Bob. From the maturity of mine it looks like yours were after mine just like last year.
What happened to those numbers you were yammering about? Looks like lqd kicked your ass today. 
Like I told someone else, it's not whether you find the most, it's whether you find any at all. Everyone that finds morels is a winner.

Think about it. In some ways I consider how many I found last year to be a curse. I gave some away and that turned to shit (you know about that), picked so many the house turned into a fungus-drying hothouse and didn't have time to have a single dinner. This year I may not found nearly as many but I have enjoyed them 10X as much.

Yeah, I'm with you on that MM. I'm happy even if I find only one. Plus I feel exactly like what you said, a mushroom hot house. I haven't really had time to enjoy them yet either.

Well, I found another half dozen today. Actually I found a few more, but they weren't in very good condition, so I let them be. I think my morel season is pretty much over. Like I said before, I'm sure there's plenty more out there, but they're getting old and I'd have to spend more time and energy than I have to swim through the super thick tic-infested brush...I got just short of a hundred...plenty for me! 
Today I found them hiding in the horse tail...
I even found some Coprinopsis variegata.
Bring on the gilled mushrooms!

Nice Mr. Zimmer Yours looks sooooooo pretty too!!!! Reminds me of some of mine from last yr!! - counting all my half frees - specially the under water finds - i got like 120+ so far this season!!!! seems a bit short - but just a couple good meals of thick meaty greys do me justice!! I think that we have it ALOT harder to find TONS - unlike the cali burnsite finds.....so hats off to ya bro - for all the dedication and time put into the morel season
I just found one of my spots popin out Lots of Huge kinda old yellows - which is also sad cuz it means even our season is comming closer to the end
Oh well - better start planning the hunt for next yr!!!
I gotta try n get back to the woods where the half frees were popin underwater - we've had hella rain lately - and everywhere is swamped - im hoping to find some meaty blondes or some hidden greys yet - but i also saw one car parked in "MY" spot yesterday - which may mean someone else is onto my newest hidden location I better bring my baseball bat

Considering the year it's been, 90-some isn't bad at all. We might be done here too but that won't stop me from looking.

The weather was just crazy this year...we had an early thaw, sparse rain, and then during morel season we had everything from snow to 40 plus mile an hour winds, to eighty degree days! So yeah, I'm happy.
