Cheers guys :headbang: At least 75% of the area is now poppin up masses of Subs, this is maybe a quarter of what was out there, and I only checked maybe two out of the eight areas I normally pick in. I got tired of picking!

These were found in the Southern Tablelands Region

Good luck everyone, get out there and represent the NSW season  :shroompick:

Well done sanchez!

Can't believe i lived in the ACT for 5 years and never hunted - We spent every other weekend either at the Cotter or Braidwood riding bikes. I suppose u do not notice Subs unless u r looking for them - that and the fact that we were constantly in drought (ACT 5 years ago) may have had something to do with it???

I was in the forest about 40K's up the F3 from Newy on the weekend. Plenty on inactives about. Though like last season I take it that we are too far up the coast for Subs.

Keep up the good work.

Found these 8 today in the blue mountains at my "gold mine" patch (well blue mine ! ).

This time 2 yrs ago I had gotten 600 from it. Late start for the area. Seen a lot of amanitas and some smaller various other species around. The subs are just itching to burst out after some rain I can feel it.

:P

I ate the 8 wet with an orange to wash it down. They gave a stronger than expected trip

Huntor, how much, in weight, d'you reckon those eight little guys amounted to?

Hard to say as I have never been able to weigh my doses. 10-20g's wet maybe ?

I am curious what weights I have taken in the past. Normally the shrooms are around similar size ( especially dry  ) so it's easy to count out a dosage based on my other experiences.

The big one on the left is the biggest one I have ever found.

Psyindra

Nice Cubes - your season is definitely running very late this year.

We were hunting at a cattle property about an hour past Tamworth a month back. Plenty of fungal activity though no cubes. Good to see u r having more luck...

You have not been looking hard enough.

4. Do not ask about current finds in your area.
These posts have been flooding the forum for years. If you're curious about if mushrooms are growing in your area, get out there and look! Mushrooms don't read the books. Sometimes they fruit outside of season. There is no set date for any season, only vast generalizations. Your best bet is that if it's close to the season for the mushroom you are looking for and its been raining, you just might find some.
