Prog and full on don't really cut it for me anymore. They just don't hit the spot like dark psy does :lol:

I listen to prog and it's just way too slow, even some full on just isn't full on enough. I remember shivas.wisdom said something similar, that only the higher bpm, harder psytrance hits the spot. I reckon it's like porn, you watch the same softcore pornography for ages and soon enough only BDSM is good enough :grin:

Dark psy is that for me now :evil:

definetly true although "oldschool" (goa/acidtrance) can be pretty enjoyable at times aswell.

it`s very nice thread indeed.
In Lithuania we have really cool psy scene. Under the moss compilations vol.1,2 kinda represent Lithuania where you can find all main psy producers like dohm cenotes(dohm+p.tale) cto_gram triphonic and many others also wicked is gaiana.

every other summer we have psy fest called yaga gathering it`s the main event in summer time for psychedelic people. last summer we had gaia festival it`s like alternative for yaga. and this summer with excitement i`m waiting for yaga! in this video you can form a view about yaga

all action take place in beautiful Lithuania`s forest near the lake and water spring. If you have a chance to come here i can trust you 100% that you won`t regret :smile:

here we have some progressive, morning psy and goa but the main music at night of course is forest and dark psy. And what can be better than forest psy in the forest ?

I wanted to introduce myself to this thread, because I'm trying to get into the more "official" psytrance scene.

The thing is, I've become hooked on the slower tempo stuff, known as psychill or psybient (I made a thread dedicated to it here).

I've tried getting into the faster stuff, but most of it just seems too aggressive and chaotic to me.

Some of my favorite downtempo psy is stuff like Androcell, Capsula, Chronos, Entheogenic, Koan, Maiia, Ott, Slackbaba, and of course Shpongle...
Alot of this is not necessarily downtempo, but it's definitely not as fast as most of the psytrance I've tried listening to.

I am open-minded though, and LOVE good quality psychedelic, tribal music... maybe I'm just listening to the wrong sub-genres?

This is a great example of the type of psy I'm into.. I fucking LOVE this song:

Unfortunately there's not much of a psytrance scene where I'm at (SouthEast U.S.),
but I would love to someday go to an authentic psytrance festival like the one fungus posted. :drooling:
