btw, don4t sweat the cost too much. as i know you're fully aware, the experience here is invaluable. and besides, this completely rebuilt engine with nearly all brand new parts should last you a good while.

The problem a budding wrenching hobby (at least for me) is that you really start to see the utility of having a nice garage full of a wide array of tools, and the cost of building up a stash starts to mount. For me it started out as "yeah I'll save $ and learn some cool shit turning wrench" and now I have a growing stash of all sorts of relatively spendy specialty tools and shit that hardly get used. Fuck it though, it's worth it. Keep on truckin dude.

Yeah, i'm having fun. Ordering the bearings/piston rings/oil seals tomorrow. That should bring the total to around $500.
