That was a really great story
But I had to comment on that claim of a "300 ug" dose of LSD, that had no effect two hours later...Sounds like the doctor had some bunk blotter...

Yeah I was wondering about that too.... I don't see how she couldn't of been having tripping vividly. I suppose it had to do with her health.
That was really a great article though, going to share it with lots of people I know.

great fucking read. i really loved that article. its moving stuff like this that definitely help the psychedelic cause
i too am appalled at how she didn't trip on 300 ug of acid, but i guess that can be attributed to her failing health and the huge amount of other medications she was also taking

Just finished reading this article.
Wow is all I can say. This bring up some good and powerful emotions in me.
How can one become a psychedelic therapist? How can one open a clinic with pharmacologist, psychedelic therapist, doctor and etc.?
This is such a good idea.
I hope I can see it happens in my lifetimes. Wow.

MAPS has information about people interested in this path on their website. It involves alot of schooling and jumping through hoops to get permission and grants.

so sad, yet so uplifting.
I actually read the whole thing, which is strange for me. I think that if I get cancer, Ill probably eat mushrooms once a week. If I am definitely going to die then I will roll most of the time as well.
Still can't believe Mara candy-flipped. So many people die before experiencing that and its a shame.

Ok thanks.
I want to specialize in neuropharmacology in 3 or 4 years so it would be great if I could work with them.

I'm happy to see Playboy do an article like this and hopefully therapy like this will become more socially understood and acceptable soon. I'm all for what MAPS is doing but to have the studies done on PTSD sufferers with MDMA and LSD studies for end of lifers is not very inclusive.

You guys would be surprised at some of the articles Playboy has had in the last 6 months. A lot of them deal with the pressing issues all of us are facing - and looking to change - today. It seems to be more geared to the 18-30's, but then I think about it, and the articles can be geared to any age group. It's really interesting shit.
They've really shifted gears on what they're covering. They even covered the story of that crooked DEA agent Lucas who just got off like a mob boss.
--------------------
Even now, if I see in my soul the citron-breasted fair one
Still gold-tinted, her face like our night stars,
Drawing unto her; her body beaten about the flame,
Wounded by the flaring spear of love,
My first of all by reason of her fresh years,
Then is my heart buried alive in snow.
The universe is transformation: life is opinion.

MAPS is down right now. I've uploaded here: http://rapidshare.com/files/372824048/playboy_the_psychedelic_renaissance_CT_0.pdf.html MD5: 0EFD4B61EC0C1B8172DDAF80E9B8650D
It can only be d/led 10 times from this link. I'm sure MAPS.org will be back up soon enough.
