Haha nice, I framed the picture of the roses and gave it to my mom as well. Parents love their kid's art.

Here's some experimenting. I put some oils in buckets and mixed them with medium. This is what I got so far. It's a forest. More to do later... gotta clean up for the night though.

I started painting a year ago with acrylics for fun, i gave alot of my stuff away to friends but here is what i currently have in my possession.
I have a problem not finishing my paintings all the way through, which i am trying to work on.
Newest to Oldest
this was for my fiance's birthday, still a little small touches to add.
still working on this one.
started painting a face and it led to just messing around with the colors
one of my earliest ones but still not done
this one was for my fiances dad for Christmas last year

I have a question, i have never worked with oil paints before, but recently bought some. Do you need like a thinner to clean off your brushes in between colors?

You need to get this stuff called, Turpenoid at an art store. The real turpentine smells like gasoline mixed with alcohol. You can stretch it longer but the turpenoid is much more practical. You might want to make a medium to. Their's lots of dif. ways to do it, but I just mix some turpenoid in with some stand oil. Some people put Damar varnish in too... (think it helps the paint dry even faster)... With the medium, it spreads the paints out. You get more bang for your buck and the paint becomes easier to apply because it's so wet at first. You loose a bit of the richness of the pigment, but the paints are usually pretty pricey.
