Habitat:
Found in south east queensland, australia
Found in cow shit in a tick fever research centre

Gills:
seem to be brown

Stem:
4 inches

Cap:
browny white, about 2 inches across

Spore print color:
attempting spore print atm but looks black so far

Bruising:
to old to tell

Other information:
strange smell, almost an old bread smell. shrooms seem to be very old but i would like them ID'd incase they still make good eating. weighed 11.6 grams when i got it home

Looks like Chlorophyllum molybdites or a Lepiota species.

Not active.

Are you trying to spore print dry mushrooms?

I read sometimes thats was possible if you sprayed the gills with a bit of water. Is that true?

yes, just a couple drops on top of the cap before covering may produce some spores, if it's not too dry already, just give it a try.

And yes looks like some type of Lepiota.

Or some other Chlorophyllum or Macrolepiota sp. as well.

hahaha thanks heaps guys, yeah the sporeprint isnt very conclusive, just specks here and there so thanks all. time to file these things in the bin. just wanna put my appreciation out there for this site, you saved my brothers life cuz he woulda been the test bunny :P

too easy, thanks for the quick replying. got a week of rain coming up cuz of a cyclone on the coast so hunting may be decent next weekend.
