 Wake Up

Humanity as we know it is currently under attack by the deadliest of all assassins, ourselves. Through ignorance and apathy we have allowed our lives to be controlled by a small number of people. Although many of these people may be genuinely good people they collectively function as a machine that has gotten us to our current state of global well being. We need to wake up or we as a species face extinction, not only of ourselves but potentially for all animals. Instead of focusing on fighting for resources and power we need to begin focusing on forming a global solution to our problems. We as a species are capable of so much more than what we are currently experiencing. Suspend your disbeliefs and realize we have the power to change the future. We have become quick to disbelieve our ability to alter the path we are heading down but it is not actually the case. We as a species are capable of so much more than what we are currently allowing. If you need reassurance of this statement then you need look no farther than accomplishments of our ancestors. We were brought into our current situation due to actions we made in the past and we were brought into this world by the actions of our parents on down the line to the beginning of time. If we as a species got together we could solve all our problems. It is time for action. I would like to begin forming a group of people from all fields to help in an experiment. I would like to collectively get a plot of land build a town live sustainably off the grid. People will work according to their skills and the unsavory jobs (waste removal, etc.. will be handled collectively) I am not talking about doing this right away obviously. It will require a lot of planning. I would also like to make a documentary of the process. Hopefully by showing others that this is possible we can help shift the global awareness. I am quite serious about doing this so please be serious if you respond.

There are many many MANY groups out there that believe the same thing, you might want to start by finding one of those.
The problem with modern times is that you only see the information you want to see, and it is also filtered by what the powers that be want you to see. They like you to feel helpless after hearing about another shooting on national news. But the problem is that the world could be in great shape outside your door. If you ignore the media, and stroll down an individual path in life, you'll probably never come up against anything at all, and you'll still have stayed true to yourself...
It's hard to explain, but you have to be smart if you isolate from the mainstream. Beware of your sources of information. Remember you are the Creator of your world.

But I'm already awake; in a couple hours I will go to sleep and then tomorrow morning I will wake up again.

Everything is so integrated, I don't think any place exists "off the grid."
I think it'd be better to focus on growing away from what you see as negative aspects of society instead of isolating yourself. Then you have the opportunity to influence those still 'afflicted' while progressing.
