warmer weather strain, works well on sawdust. i took a tissue culture from a healthy growing pin off of sawdust.

small vials,vacutainers,full plates even smashed lil baggies
personally i give full plates

I'd just cut into a culture baggie like that with a hot knife, peel it open and plate a bunch of em. But yeah, i agree it can be a PITA.

I have gotten 3 cultures like that too. The first of which was gold enoki which plated out just fine. I thought it was cool to see it go from smashed baggie with hardly any visible myc to fruiting out of bags and jars. The others I got were beyond repair  I'm just posting this to echo the message "This is not an acceptable way to send live sterile cultures!"
