Landscape pictures always give me the that light feeling in the chest. Mountains especially-- these are two of my favourites.

these are the Pharr mounds about 45 minutes from where I used to live further down the Tennessee.
I had my first real LSD experience here, with my best friend. They don't look very impressive but the biggest one is three stories tall and pretty big around.
I'm speaking from experience y'all. These are very spiritual pictures. Maybe a 10,000th of how spiritual it is being there at sunset in the spring on some 100th anniversaries.
I just like to google image search sometimes "pharr mounds" just to :nostalgia:

-------------------- The idea of heat death stems from the second law of thermodynamics, which states that entropy tends to increase in an isolated system. If the universe lasts for a sufficient time, it will asymptotically approach a state where all energy is evenly distributed. In other words, in nature there is a tendency to the dissipation (energy loss) of mechanical energy (motion); hence, by extrapolation, there exists the view that the mechanical movement of the universe will run down in time due to the second law.

definitely something spiritually beautiful about this plant
-------------------- The idea of heat death stems from the second law of thermodynamics, which states that entropy tends to increase in an isolated system. If the universe lasts for a sufficient time, it will asymptotically approach a state where all energy is evenly distributed. In other words, in nature there is a tendency to the dissipation (energy loss) of mechanical energy (motion); hence, by extrapolation, there exists the view that the mechanical movement of the universe will run down in time due to the second law.

Maybe because the image of the sun as Ra with hands of light pouring out is traditionally an Egyptian image?

Ron haviv has been one of my most favorite photographers for a long time, his pictures are very spiritual. I find real photography to be more spiritually inclined then trippy paintings and what not. Its amazing what kind of emotion you can seduce just by capturing a moment in time.

The Tigers, a Serbian paramilitary group, kick the dying bodies of the first Muslims to be killed in the war in Bosnia. Spring 1992.

 rocket attack in croatia

james nachtway is also a very intense photographer;

famine is the most horrible manmade weapon of mass destruction
 heroin rehab center in pakistan

not be forgotten and must not be repeated."

I would not say those are spiritual pictures. Ya... famine and hardships happen all over the world, but thats just the way the world is, look at animals... survival of the fittest. Not going to even imagine how hard it must be for those people (Im drunk By the way sooo...) they were born into that existence nothing i can do about it. But i truly believe that if someone is smart enough or has enough willpower a person can "change their stars". meaning they can leave the place where there is no food and fucking find some, or they can stay in their current situation and starve, obviously if they are young kids then perhaps they lack the maturity or the self reliance to save themselves... otherwise...

what in the fuck, first off all look up the definition of spiritual, second of all are you even aware of something called man made famine? this isnt a case of kids not having enough munchies in the pantry. These are chaotic gov't's controlling the entire food supply of an entire country/countries, happened in soviet ukraine where over 2.6 million people died due to starvation, a product of fucked up trade policies thanks to joseph stalin, which is up for debate, and is irrelevant. Sudan is the most well known atrocity, there many people to blame for these things, its not just an act of drought or some kind of natural disaster.

I got high for the first time in a few days and found the pic.
That's a good reason why I like pot so much, just dropped all that intellectual noise and absorbed the symbolic meaning of the painting.
I even like how its cheesy to.

I'm new here, so I thought I might as well start in this thread. A lot of my favorite pics have already been posted, but I was surprised to not see more Alex Grey as I am a huge fan of his. Since he is widely known, I'll post my current favorite.
Pretty much any artist listed under the podcollective is amazing.
This is my current favorite

Here's is the .gif to the 'bullfighter' image c0sm0nautt posted...

Some of you might want to visit "In the Dark, where you fear to look..." a thread i started over in the Philosophy, Sociology & Psychology forum. It was created as a place to post images/art that tend to be...well, dark.

No way, i had a very intense mushroom trip where i saw hundreds of eyes staring at me. Human sized and shape, blue color eyes, hundreds of them, when i closed or opened my eyes. It was not a pleasant trip, infact quite the opposite. I felt exposed and vulnerable to these eyes.

I know what you're saying. Thats the first impression i had .. almost like i was being judged , just felt so exposed. But then i got my shit together and i realized that who , or whatever is behind these eyes can only do that - look.
The funny thing is that i see these eyes now , each time i take mushrooms even if only small doses. The eyes switch , depending on my focus. Meaning , if i look at my buddy or think about him , it will be his eyes that i see all around me. Through this i have found to be able to recognize peoples emotional states. The eyes turned very angry when i woke up my sister accidentally. She was upset and yelled at me to shut the door on my way out.
Anywhoo.. a number of these experiences have left me with an important message that only those who have seen , can understand. They are all my eyes.
Peace and dont be afraid .. of yourself.

Is this the picture you were talking about jivJaN? I have this poster. I remember how sweet I thought it was when I bought it, now Ive become kind of bored of it, but it still invokes something in me if I look at it carefully.

Great picture. I love that monk.
Here's one.
Quote:

Started drawing this image using colored pencils at the peak of an LSD session in 1975. Took about 100 hours to finish it afterward. Later published anonymously in Stanislav Grof's BEYOND THE BRAIN. It has multiple meanings for me on various levels. The roots reaching down and away from the world of light represent, I believe, a deep-seated abandonment fear that's entangled, deeper still, with fear of death. The casket containing a skeletal corpse is embedded in earth that resembles a cosmos, thereby pointing toward transcendence of the conflict in transpersonal realms of the human unconscious.

Why would you assume that we are born without reason and that we die by chance?.... pretty lame imo.

After my sole salvia experience the following day I noticed this wood knot in my door.... it is an interesting coincidence, I was frankly floored. cause to me it looks like a side profile of a male Native Indian, complete with nose, lip, hair, headband.

A game without challenges is boring. It is possible to live a happy optimistic life without being in denial about all the shit that goes on all around.
You just gotta get up and dance with the fire instead of moping about it. Be thankful for your problems.
Without them, your life would be a fucking bore.
But don't make it all about the problems. There are magnificent wonders in this world worth living for

Awesome quote man. Reproduced here for readability.
“You develop an instant global consciousness, a people orientation, an intense dissatisfaction with the state of the world, and a compulsion to do something about it. From out there on the moon, international politics looks so petty. You want to grab a politician by the scruff of the neck and drag him a quarter of a million miles out and say, ‘Look at that, you son of a bitch.’” - Edgar Mitchell, Apollo 14 Astronaut

winter is a time to go inside, but I cant wait for the summer when people start to come around like the grass that comes up when the snow melts. One of my favorites. Had the same idea as the reviewer when I saw this, planning on getting it for the ladyfriend for V-day this year.
yeah, the main reason i put that up there is because we have a framed version of that image in our bedroom...it's not the same one though, because it doesn't have grey's name on the bottom like the one in your link does... my wife has a friend who owns a frame shop and this was a gift to both of us... excellent website Pac, i bookmarked it and intend to by some apparel, i've already seen something that i'd like to see wrapped around my wife's body. U have always seemed to have good taste bro!

Thank you sir, it's a necessity when you make as little money as I do, haha.

Quote:
Separateness exists in imagination
When the rays of the sun pass through a prism, they are dispersed and separate through refraction. If each ray had consciousness, it would consider itself to be separate from the other rays, forgetting the other side of the prism. In the same way the One Being descends in the domain of Maya and assumes multiplicity. The separateness of individuals exits only in imagination. The One Being imagines separateness, and out of this division there rises "I" and "mine" opposed to "you" and "yours". Although the self is undivided unity, it appears to be divided owing to the working of imagination. Imagination is anything but the truth. The experience that the soul gathers in terms of the individualized ego is all imagination, Maya or ignorance.
With the birth of separate and limited individuality, there comes into existence the objective universe. As the limited individuality has separate existence only in imagination, the objective universe also has no separate reality. It is the One Being appearing in the second role of manifestation through the attributes. When the One Being descends in the domain of Maya, it takes upon itself the limitations of manifold existence. This self-limitation on the One Being might be looked upon as its self-sacrifice on the altar of consciousness. Although it eternally remains the One Being it suffers timeless contraction through its descent into the world of time and evolution. What, however, evolves is not the One Being, only the consciousness, which, because of its limitations, gives rise to the limited individuality.
