Hi synthkraft, sorry for my late response. Too busy. This is the message you sent me three days ago:

i will do a mix, 5 1/2 pint jars with EQ, 5 with P Envy then fruiting (ALL 10 CAKES) in a single large fc together. SHOULD THEY BE IN SEPERATE FC?)

No

There are differences in the way i will do it though and it mainly has to do with fae. i will be using a POOR MANS POD (MAGASH IS AWESOME CHECK HIM OUT), instead of the SHOTGUN perlite FC as i do not wish to mess with messy perlite and the pmp seems to be a great way for fae to distribute with rh staying high. what do you think about the pmp? is room temp fruiting ok using a pmp? also, what does MS mean, as you guys have used this abbreviated term before?

I personally don't like the pmp solution but that's just me. Many people use it with good results so give it a try. I prefer a SG terrarium because I don't want to use any electric equipment in my FC. Furthermore a modified SG terrarium with roughly 170 holes on all six sides will give me what I need: more FAE and less RH. GL

(room temp is ok and MS means multispore)

Well, I finally read this entire thread. I am willing to give this a whirl, and I have about 10 cakes that have JUST started the consolidation phase, so I read this thread *just* in time to give it a try.

I will let you guys know how it works out. It seems the majority of experimenters have had success with it. Thanks for sharing this with everyone LM, whether or not it's some kinda fluke or a great technique I appreciate pushing the boundaries, it's definitely in the spirit of the site and the community. Without pushing the boundaries we'd still be hunter/gatherers getting mauled by tigers. Wish me luck :P

First of all congrats for having read the entire thread :congrats: Good start :super: Some people think the FAE increase is too much for them and they don't drill any additional hole in their FC. Some other think that the slow dunk procedure is not essential, so they only mist and fan more often. This is the main reason why they fail: they tend to focus only on the heating process and they underestimate the whole procedure which is instead the sum of many important steps. Good luck matter0ni

Damn dude, you're nice as shit to the people in this thread:thumbup: sweet attitude.
Skimmed over the thread and couldn't find any photo evidence that the tek works from other people. I have 10 jars colonizing, I'll get back with some updates and proof. I will too haha, no lies.

...Glad that cloneUFC guy pissed off. He said he'd be back with conclusions to your tek...that was 5 months ago xD. He's like having head lice ffs.

Hello LM, how's it been :P

Sorry I haven't stopped in in a while, I got mono and life has had it's demands.

I still want to try this tek, but never got around to buying a fish tank heater, which is still on my list of things to do.

I stepped up to bulk after getting a pressure cooker a while ago.  I am pleased with my results so far, my first little tray yielded like 35 grams, which is quite a step up compared to cakes - well.. normal cakes, that is to say :P

My main issue with cakes is using multi-spore.  I keep getting rotten luck where my cakes don't produce for shit, me and a buddy even had a couple dozen cakes that didn't produce more then a gram each, sucked!

I've got a bunch of WBSF cakes with gypsum going now, knocked up with PE6.  I'm curious to see how those do compared to regular pf cakes.  Did you ever get around to trying whey protein as a cake supplement because I'm finally gonna give it a try.

You been keeping up on any experiments/grows lately?

:plur:

How nice to hear from you Plurfekt, it's been a while... I've never thought of a whey cake so far, but it's something I'll consider... so give it a try before I steal your idea  I stopped my projects long enough because I had too much to do but now I feel like trying something new: In the next few days I'll open a new thread  for a cocoa, sunflower oil and manitoba flour project. You know, just for the fun of it. I am also doing some agar work and I am trying to apply the heat shock tek to bulk grows. It's not an easy task though.

As soon as I buy some more substrate (gonna need more grains/bulk subs/casing layers soon anyways) I'll make a whey protein cake, and maybe try a couple other things like bamboo or rye flour.  My WBSF W/Gypsum cakes (Penis Envy 6) are colonizing nicely, really excited to see how those do.

I'll try to think of a method for heat shocking trays or tubs.. that is a tough one.

I am still waiting for your bulk heat shock tek! :kingcrankey:

Hey LM good to see your still around.  :hi:

Although, I don't do cakes I would love to implement your tek into my bulk. We need to connect soon and exchange some notes. Been busy lately but am interested in doing some cakes as well lately! Also been curious if you been working with other species. Good times.

Hey Killa, nice to see you around too. I am working on that bulk tek and I am using a different method in order get the sub dried but I need more time. Too busy. Right now I am growing some sclerotia (mex jalisco) and some edibles (shiitake and oysters). I am also doing some agar work. Never tried pans yet, and you? Cheers, LM.

I've got some Pan Cambo trays, a couple Lipa Yai trays, and an oyster basket colonizing right now. Spawned them all last Sunday. I also am trying my hand at agar, but having little or no success.
Don't know if you've experimented with stones yet, but you are in for a really wonderful treat my friend. You will LOVE them. Be sure to try some fresh! :awesomenod:

Only 70% of american teens today can do this.
