the REAL problem is not only youtube videos, but mainly vendors themselves who try to popularize their product as much as possible
the reason salvia became illegal STARTED with internet sites proclaiming an awesome new susbtance that provides astral projection type experiences...
then that made it the hot new fad...
and then vendors, particularly headshops trying to cash in
make it common word of mouth, and available to any wreckless kid who doesn't research or respect what these things are
when I started hearing that some headshops are carrying ayahuasca analogues and cacti...
baaaaaaaad news, bad idea
I honestly wish I could go on some sort of campaign getting headshops to remove these products,
as I feel like that is far more cause for concern than any amount of popularizing than shroomery threads can cause
I am struggling for the right words here...
I did have good reason to be concerned about the trickling effect of advertising these plants to those who aren't seeking it on their own (i mean I have no problem with erowid, and if you are interested enough you can discover all sorts of plants and what they do through research, I don't think we need to tell every drug-seeker in earshot what you can get high off of)
and I do feel like youtube videos contribute GREATLY to this problem
but more than anything it is vendors who hold the responsibility. Vendors trying to capitalize off of high-seekers, and that especially means headshops
because headshop highs appeal to the most loud-mouthed and irresponsible of high-seekers, and that will end up with stuff getting found by concerned parents and police, and that's all it takes
notice how BBB's biggest mistake was selling K2... very headshop-esque, if you catch my drift (i just woke up, having trouble forming good sentences)
so perhaps if you know of a local headshop who sells entheogens, try pleading with them to stop, though I doubt they will listen
and hopefully any remaining online vendors will become a lot more discreet, and stop trying to increase their market through the appeal of highs

I kinda feel bad for BB in a way, but they brought it on themselves. They were greedy and unresponsible.
As such, they don't deserve any help from us, infact they have made things worse for alot of people. This was borderline neruosoup type shit.
