If I was going to jail for possession of the ethnos I have growing in my house which could happen, I dont believe for a second this guy would raise and eyebrow, pay into a fund for me or do anything at all.

To him I'm a username on a niche forum and a potental customer, nothing more.

"Lysergic Acid Amide: We didn't even know what this was. But, after googling we discovered it is in Morning Glory Seeds. The kind your grandmother plants in her garden. Evidently possession of Morning Glory Seeds available in just about every garden center in the country and growing in just about every neighborhood in the country is now illegal. Not only illegal, but considered “manufacturing”. "

from the save job website.

Now, I feel for them, but just because of this statement, I dont think I'm going to donate anymore. Its one thing to defend yourself, especially when those charges, AND the situation is grey, not black or white - but straight up lying to the public to get donations? give me a break

And don't think I'm being insensitive. I never once thought he deserves any of this, not at all. Just like I didn't deserve to go to jail when I was 17 for .25 of a gram of marijuana in front of my house, when I was illegally searched (judge dropped the charge, charged me with something else insteadand fucked me over).

No, he doesnt deserve this. But that doesnt mean I'm going to help him pay for his way out of trouble. He should have known the risks - EVEN if its technically legal what he is selling, its still a grey area.

I do think that are illegal. I jay walk sometimes. But everything I do, I know their might be consequences for - and if im not willing to pay the price, I wont take the risk.

Uhhh.....I think people misunderstand what free country means.

It doesnt mean you can sell drugs and get away with it - now that wouldnt be too awesome, would it?

Not saying thats what he was doing, but....well.....

What PUBLIC position did you EXPECT them to take???

Geez...don't be so naive.  They're not making statements like that to garner your (or any one else's) donations, they're expressing this sentiment publicly as it will become the cornerstone of their defense!!!  They need to say this...repeatedly, convincingly and consistently.

So then what is the problem here folks? Clearly they were selling their ethnobotanicals and entheogens for human consumption. Sure, I can play stupid. BBB can play stupid. BBB's lawyers can play stupid. BUT, who do you think is going to seem REAL fucking stupid when that is the story the judge and/or the jury hears.

Did you read the charges they are accused of? THOSE are the issues they should be worrying about, manufacturing charges, which are obviously bullshit.

If they get charged with selling psychedelic or mind altering substances for human consumption, well, no shit - it serves then right. But that isnt what they are charged with.

Dont think judges or other people are stupid enough to buy that "WE DIDNT KNOW ANYONE USES THESE PRODUCTS ILLEGALLY" bullshit.

It reminds me of those teenage "super model" websites - where perverts take pictures of underage girls, yet barely clothed, and think they can get away with it. WHO ARE YOU TRYING TO CONVINCE

I don't like it but i kinda have to agree, its kinda obvious why they sold what they did, whether or not they directly breached any laws i don't know. I worry that the dea will crack down more and more on trying to control these gray market areas. Hell even regular supplements and herbs in general are being targeted for regulation, even talk that many of your favorite energy drinks may fall under it as new guide lines wont let them be sold as a food item legally and will follow harsher guide lines

"The truth is, no one really knows the truth. But, brief moment we may be able to taste it. This is the "a-ha!" moment of life. But then, just as quickly as it comes, it has left without warning. The lingering feeling of knowing, even for a second, what others are rarely open to leaves us thankful to have experienced it. Out of this comes a whole new look on life, ourselves, and others. The real human experience changes us forever. Even if all we catch is a glimps of it, to know it is there puts peace in our hearts and love toward our fellow man."

Good thing only members can see this thread.

OTD is a hidden forum.

BTW I agree that selling bufo toads for the purpose of harvesting 5-meodmt is a shitty thing to do IMO.
