How much you guys want to bet that Neurosoup bitch is almost directly responsible for this... or at least is a BIG part of the reason it happened.

Probably helped raise a good bit of awareness, through videos, which made the whole scene easier to digest for Feds.
Once they saw how easily dumb you tube hippies could get high off the internet they were inclined to take action.

It's all so depressing. This guy was a hero to stand up and work as he did in the heart of what is (from my perspective north of 49) a police state (not unlike here; e.g. current olmpic security, Marc Emery, etc). But guys like Sloan give me hope, leading by example, allowing others to take heart because he showed it was possible. This bust is the latest chapter in the witch-hunt that dates back to the burning of the druids in their sacred oak forest, by roman empire soldiers. And the so-called "inquisition" which tortured herbalist, and the persecution of anyone, to this day, who seeks empowerment and wisdom through an interaction with the spirit and collective consciousness of nature and the cosmos. Sloan is an entrepreneur who allowed us to showed the way to the doors of perception.
People who call him "wreckless" are as brainwashed as the cops who busted him. People who say he sold bunk product probably don't know the secrets of brewing ayahuasca. I always get an elder shaman to brew mine, and actually, BBB's products were fine.
And about selling toads to the wrong people, as lukeboots also ranted about: okay Einstein, is it also wrong to sell knives because people might use them as weapons? No. Just because things can be misused is not an argument for making them illegal, especially when the potential good they can do is without measure.
I will close this message of lamentation for a persecuted hero with this quotation, from Terrence McKenna's essay "Plan, Plant, Planet" in which he points out that the consciousness reached through entheogens is what we need to guide this ailing planet and our society towards a better future.
"The process begins by declaring legitimate what we have denied for so long. Let us declare nature to be legitimate. All plants should be declared legal, and all animals for that matter. The notion of illegal plants and animals is obnoxious and ridiculous."

For sure.
I don't understand how you can arrest someone for something that isn't illegal? What is next, is the DEA going to be raiding Home Depots and Lowes for selling San Pedro in their garden section?

What i don't understand is how the police are so certain the products BBB were selling were for the purpose of making and selling drugs when it has this disclaimer on the site? If this guy gets sentenced it will be out of pure corruption.

It's sad that they waste time and taxpayer money doing something like this. At the same time they were raiding this legit company in Kansas...there were people all over Kansas & the rest of the country cooking & using Meth, raping & killing others, stealing from others, drinking too much alcohol and getting behind the wheel of a car, popping too many prescription pain pills, etc etc etc...
God forbid someone uses some plants in the privacy & comfort of their own home!!!
There are way too many brainwashed people in this world. There always will be.
that's the sad truth of it -- while they were shutting down this mystical herbarium, there were meth labs, car thieves, corrupt politicians, etc, going full swing. It's almost as if the enforcers want to let that stuff flourish while cracking down on promoters of a different paradigm, in order to keep themselves in business. Tragic.

Don't you remember JLF?
JLF Disclaimer
In addition to having the best disclaimer you've ever seen, customers were required to call in and verbally state the terms of sale listed further down the page and this was recorded on tape. Despite that, the owner was arrested and sentenced to some ridiculous amount of jail.
Am I outraged? Yes. Surprised? Absolutely not.\
It was the FDA in that case as well as this one. Aren't we all glad they're here to keep us safe?
