It is hard to tell with those pictures. How long has it been since you injected the spores?

You should see some white spots in there, they may be small so really look. As long as you injected down the side it will be easy to spot them out. It took my BRF jars about 2 weeks to see any notable growth.

10 days is about time for them to germinate...Ide give it some more time though...
Your ratio of rice to verm seems to favoring the verm!

Its fine...It just look in some parts that BRF was lacking...
78 is good. It should be showing up any time now?
That part on the bottom MIGHT be a germination starting to spread...But BRF that is wet and in a jar sometimes gives off that image.
Just wait you will know when it comes...

You will know straight away when you have myc, as it really is a brilliant white colour....stands out a mile away.
Keep em wrapped up and you should see something soon.

I was under the impression that gas exchange was too important to cover them up. I seem to be getting conflicting info... Good to know that it is easy to spot though.

As long as your lid is turned upside down and your top is not screwed on too tight, you will get air exchange that is just fine, sometimes mushrooms will even start to grow in there.

Lids can be put on any way tight or loose it makes no difference. I do my lids the rubber seal down and tight. its best to keep the 4 innoc holes unobstructed.
If you followed a 2:1:1 ratio your are golden your cakes look great mixed nice and fluffy. I dont know why people are saying your BRF was lacking it looks all good.
i have had cakes take 2 weeks to show signs so im sure your good

What does that mean? the verm is coated in BRF so the myc would love it and also there is more verm in a cake then BRF so thats normal too

Good to know, would there be mold by now if it was going to be there at all? Or do I have to wait to find tat out to?

There shouldn't be mold if you were clean with your sterilization and inoculation process.
There are always those random jars though...
Youll have to wait and see, but I think your fine, and that you will see mycelium in a couple of days. By this rate it will take about another 2 probably 3 weeks to colonize that cake.
What is the strain?

Im not to sure that looks like mycelium at the bottom, when you see mycelium you know it from the snow whit color and the distinct growth patterns
