The kicker (or where the conspiracy comes in) is that the U.S Government owns the patent to Cannabinoids being used as antioxidants and neuro-protectants but denies medical access and use (US Gov't knows benefits of cannabinoids ... and holds patent)

http://www.google.com/patents?id=0pcNAAAAEBAJ

The US Government holds a patent (US Patent # 6630507) on cannabinoids and their antioxidant effects.

The Owner/Assignee: The United States of America as represented by the Department of Health and Human Services

It describes cannabinoids particular use as neuroprotectants, which limits possible neurological damage after an ischemic event, or an event that robs the brain of oxygen.

There's also reference to its use in treatment and prophylaxis of neurodegenerative diseases such as alzheimers, parkinsons, and HIV dementia.

Here's the Abstract:

Cannabinoids have been found to have antioxidant properties, unrelated to NMDA receptor antagonism. This new found property makes cannabinoids useful in the treatment and prophylaxis of wide variety of oxidation associated diseases, such as ischemic, age-related, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. The cannabinoids are found to have particular application as neuroprotectants, for example in limiting neurological damage following ischemic insults, such as stroke and trauma, or in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease and HIV dementia. Nonpsychoactive cannabinoids, such as cannabidoil, are particularly advantageous to use because they avoid toxicity that is encountered with psychoactive cannabinoids at high doses useful in the method of the present invention.

Patent number: 6630507
Filing date: Feb 2, 2001
Issue date: Oct 7, 2003
Inventors: Aidan J. Hampson, Julius Axelrod, Maurizio Grimaldi
Assignee: The United States of America as represented by the Department of Health and Human Services
Primary Examiner: Kevin E. Weddington
Attorneys: Klarquist Sparkman, LLP
Application number: 9/674,028

that's crazy...

There's also evidence that the Government      knew about marijuana's anti-cancer effects back in the 70's

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/paul-armentano/what-your-government-know_b_108712.html

"In fact, the first experiment documenting pot's potent anti-cancer effects took place in 1974 at the Medical College of Virginia at the behest federal bureaucrats. The results of that study, reported in an Aug. 18, 1974, Washington Post newspaper feature, were that marijuana's primary psychoactive component, THC, "slowed the growth of lung cancers, breast cancers and a virus-induced leukemia in laboratory mice, and prolonged their lives by as much as 36 percent."

Despite these favorable preliminary findings (eventually published the following year in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute), U.S. government officials refused to authorize any follow-up research until conducting a similar -- though secret -- preclinical trial in the mid-1990s. That study, conducted by the U.S. National Toxicology Program to the tune of $2 million, concluded that mice and rats administered high doses of THC over long periods had greater protection against malignant tumors than untreated controls.

However, rather than publicize their findings, the U.S. government shelved the results, which only became public after a draft copy of its findings were leaked to the medical journal AIDS Treatment News, which in turn forwarded the story to the national media.

In the years since the completion of the National Toxicology trial, the U.S. government has yet to authorize a single additional study examining the drug's potential anti-cancer properties. (Federal permission is necessary in order to conduct clinical research on marijuana because of its illegal status as a schedule I controlled substance.)"

Nice info skatealex2.

People who are wondering why all these cancers and tumors suddenly sprouted out of no where... now you know why. "Population control," by removing or restricting the usage of the "Tree of Life" from civilization; the consequence is people will die from not using it (whereas our ancient ancestors rarely had such issues [Cancers, Tumors, Viruses, Diseases] because of Cannabis/Hemp...)

novumorganum - I think you mean Alex Jones and at least something is being done right?

Do you understand that these people are from a different region of the country? Specifically, CALIFORNIA? The demographics in California are obviously not the same for Arkansas. Point being, how else is this information supposed to spread?

I understand what you're saying, but you cant forget, not all areas of the USA are the same... there are still people in states out there, that think slavery should be legal man.

Alex Jones is a fear monger if you allow him to scare you, otherwise he's just screaming facts at you, and unfortunately that's just his way of doing it (not the best method by all means)

I wish, but I don't think it will happen until the older generation dies out of the Government  :psycho:  :slitwrist:  :chainsaw:  :laser:  :butcher:

Weed is still schedule 3

You mean Schedule I.. right?

I agree, I've pissed people off by claiming that he is a disinformation agent(which I still believe)for many reasons.

LOL if this was any of alex jones' other videos half of the replies would already be

"lol conspiracy theory"
"you're and idiot if you listen to alex jones"
"alex jones is a nutjob"

etc.

but this is a shrooms website... funny how that works.

now if jones could somehow link weed with 9/11, the federal reserve or Bilderberg you'd all be believers.

Either way, I hope marijuana is legal within 15 years or so, I would benefit very much from it I think

I remember watching Alex Jones on my "on demand" comcast. He was aiming a rifle from out of his hotel window  at oncoming traffic. :jimcarreysplit: I don't trust this man.

Yeah well the whole scheduling and Reagan/Nixon regime is so fucked up it's own ass I can't even smell the coffee. It makes about as much sense as my previous sentence.

We're still living in Nixon's mess , you'd think after 60 years the Government might change something :psycho:
