Add it to the tek. Put all dry ingredients in the bucket before pouring water over them. I would do 1-2 pints of gypsum.

Just thought I'd chime in and say that a good way to add gypsum is to stir it into the boiling water before dumping it on the coir.

its easy, you can do any amount, the only important part is the setup of your fruiting chamber. what are you thinking of fruiting it in

Less spawn will work. I would not go above a 1:5 ratio w/ coir though. If you use wheat straw, you can go higher, say 1:10, but remember - the more spawn you use, the more food /nutrition for your mush - AND the less time it will take to fully colonize, as you will have more inoc points.

Damion,
Question for you... I made these bags and I didnt really measure how much I put in (Yea Im a Noob)I plan on using your tek with these, but I wonder, would you be able to eyeball if I should use one bag or both with the 18 gal/Coir/Verm recipe?
Also how close would you guess the left bag is? These have been colonizing very slow for over a month.
Thanks!

I would say probably both bags lol to be on the safe side. U can always weight the bags then say a bag weights 2 lbs u know u could use 4lbs of bulk substrate per bag.
I normally put in 5 quarts of Rye into each bag I use.

i'd do two monotubs with those two bags, personally.
i'd rather wait a few more days for colonization, and get two tubs. but its up to you
