Found some Galerinas at my favorite spot, had to drop by with the dog. found about 3 patches. Not long before the Cyans are back right? Here is to wishful thinking! *Please dont freeze!*

I found some mushies up here too while on a walk. Didn't take the time to photograph or ID them, but they were there nonetheless and it was quite a surprise to see em!

...unless you find some spring cyans,( I know its possible but not common whatsoever)
I dont see any more Cyan finds till next fall,
we're almost into Febuary my friend

Yeah, I wouldn't hold my breath.

I checked around today just because I happened to park next to one of my patches, and all I saw were a bunch of Tubaria furfuracea.  Which can kinda look like cyans from a distance.  But aren't :wink:

T. furfuracea are about the only thing I am seeing as well, except for these oddballs popping up behind a Downtown Seattle bus stop.

Haha! Nice pic!

Tubaria furfuracea is a species, that preferably fruits, when most other wood loving mushrooms have vanished again. Pretty clever actually.

ya i found a tubaria in my back yard a few days ago.

check stuntzii spots if anything i would think.they are supposed to grow all year in a mild enough winters, and this is one! it was 13 yesterday up here in BC.its warmer then when i was picking in the late fall.

Reason:
PNW season 2009 is over.  If anyone finds any actives in the PNW this spring they can start a 2010 spring PNW active finds thread.  There are a few Psilocybe species that fruit in the spring including Psilocybe subaeruginascens sensu Guzman.
