no but i want that one also! i took tissue from a growing shiitake pin (not a mutated blob) and transfered to agar. they are all clean.

what's a wedge? I'm assuming it's a peice of agar formed clone, but how do you do that without contaminating it?

a wedge is a piece of agar cut off of a colonized
most of the time they are transferred to new plates
sometimes they are put into small sterile containers as well
you need to do agar work in a glove box
or in front of a flow hood so you are working
in sterile air thus keeping your culture clean
also when posting in this thread if you have nothing to offer
