Not here in the Orlando area. If any thing the cyans seem to like it. I went out earlier today and found about 2 lbs wet. In this one field they seem to be thriving like crazy, but the 2 others I went to only found about an ounce in each. On New years at midnight I took 10 grams Cyans the lemon tech way. I ground em up to powder and squeezed 3 lemons on it, and let it soak for an hour and downed it. I had the time of my life, I had obe's, and some of the craziest hallucinations. I will never knock Cyans again. After the second hour I don't remember much, but what I do was awesome.

Just got back from taking a friend that has never been to a field to pick mushrooms. At first he didn't even know what to look for, until I found a cyan and showed him what to look for. The next thing I know he's running threw the woods like a wild man. He ran over to me about 5 minutes later with 2 hands full of cyans , and the biggest grin. I love how it makes you feel to be out in the wild , and picking these beautiful mushrooms. It's a high on it's own. He now knows why I spend so much time out in the fields. We found about 3 lbs wet, and I let him have them all. I think that this cold weather will so the growth if not kill it. I noticed almost all of them were really short[less than an inch tall], and solid blue from stress I guess. They where all over , with pins everywhere. So I don't know. I will be out in a few days to report back. Late

Hopefully they will still be kickin with these temps...

The 2009 season was by far the best out of the last 10 years for me. I found about 30 dry pounds of cubes and about 10 dry pounds of cyans. I am going to buy a 12 mp camera tomorrow, so no more post without pictures. I am so excited to get it, my camera I lost was a 7.2 mp. Shroomgather you should start a 2010 Thread. I will post picture tomorrow of my findings. Later

I don't eat them as much as you would think. My friends get more than I do. I have about 20 friends that like them. I like walking the fields, and picking the mushrooms more than I like eating them. Well maybe the same. I feel like a kid finding a dollar everytime I find an active. Even after finding tens of thousands of them. Mushrooms in general are the most fascinating things on this planet. I hope to one day have the knowledge like Alan, German ,Louise and Cactu. I would like to become a traveling fungiphile. Enough with the high rambling. Later

stay fascinated and no doubt you will find yourself where you want to be...you obviously take pleasure in the journey as much as the destination... so perhaps a name change would suit you... seeker...
