 Is it safe to smoke chamomile?

Hey everyone! While browsing Erowid I came across the chamomile page, and was intrigued to find it is classified as a sedative. I then went on to read some experiences, lots of them good, claiming that the effects of it smoked are subtle yet noticable, not comparable to weed, and actually should be studied on its own. So I have this chamomile tea. Of course, I got curious, and looked at the ingredients. It is 100 percent chamomile leaf.
So I was wondering...is it safe to smoke this? I guess I'm wondering because I'm getting it out of a tea bag. Although I am aware that there may be some harmful pesticides sprayed on it, and I am not downgrading that, but besides that, could there be anything in it that could be deadly if smoked...
I am just not sure...

just drink it. it's good, tastes great, and has definitely noticeable effects. I love it. It IS mild compared to many psychoactives (i guess it's one, it seems to be for me anyway), but I really love chamomile.

I always drink some chamomile tea before I go to sleep. It definitely makes me feel nice and relaxed. Sometimes I mix it with linden tea. Really great before bed.
Smoking chamomile won't be any worse for you than smoking cabbage or ordinary grass. But smoking anything is bad for you. I doubt the effects will be increased enough to make smoking it worth it, unless you're just doing it for the taste. I'm guessing it could possibly taste good. I've heard of people smoking sage leaves for the taste so, smoking herbal stuff isn't unheard of.
Make some tea before you go to sleep. You're not going to get fucked up or anything, even if you do smoke it.

It is safe, I have smoked a few times when I was younger. And effects are mild but noticeable. But still, tea tastes much much better, tough I can't say really that I feel any effects when drinking it.

Thanks! Well, I am not looking to get fucked up per say, haha. Just relax. I have detected some enjoyable effects from drinking it, so I was just wondering about smoking it. I did more research and found it to be harmless, well, as harmless as we expect. I still realize smoking anything isn't harm proof.

It can be smoked. I'm pretty sure they put Chamomile in those 'Spice' packets. It's one of the many herbs they spray with the synthetic cannabanoids.
Whether you should or not, well that's not up to us. Maybe vaping would be a healthier alternative?

I rolled up a joint of chamomile a few minutes ago smoked about half of it, some people say its harsh, me it was so smooth like almost not feeling it, I feel relaxed but I think drinking it you get more effect from it when I made a cup of tea yesterday I had a mild highish feeling, I was surprised if you want to know what herbs do look to the Native Cultures like Native Americans, Native Tribes In South America and Africa, to the Asian medicine men and women are ancestors used earth's plants and herbs for crazy meditation highs to medicinal purposes take a little time to know true history 
I would recommend using this with maby like hops and blue lotus might be a really feeling and a good smoke remedy mix

Does it ruin it if I mention that chamomile is not native to the America's?
Brought over from Europe probably in the 1700's.... Now grows wild for sure
Makes a nice tea.... Can't see a good reason to smoke it though
