Barrett REC7
Almost twice as expensive, but twice as bad ass at the same time. 6.8 spc has excellent velocity, while having a way bigger punch than the puny .223 of an ar-15.
Not to mention the REC7 is already threaded for a silencer, which are around $1100 (+ the $200 tax)
I used to make fun of people that bought tactical weapons because they are so stupidly expensive and generally useless, but now with Obama and the gun grabbers in control I might look into a couple of indulgent purchases

You can also just get a 6.8 upper for your AR-15 or buy a 6.8 AR from Bushmaster for just about the same price as the .223 models...

at roughly $850 per 1000 rounds being the cheapest ive seen 6.8spc go for(not including shipping), i think ill stick with a more common round until it becomes more widely used and cheaper. i can get 1000 rounds of .308 for just under $400.

I concur. 1000rds of 7.62x39mm runs about $230 or 1000rds of 5.45x39mm for <$130...
