too wet? pinning trigger is water evaporation, so maybe lay off the misting a little and keep fanning hard.

All I want to do is say thank you for this TEK. I followed it basically to a T and I just hit my 5th week.
This is the 5th week picture.. You can see a few little sprouts.

A friend has 10 Jars(5 Ecuador, 5 Huatla) from spore works.
He followed this tek, the only difference is the jar size. He used the 8oz. quilted jars. They are just not as short and fat but still only 1/2 pint. They were inoculated 23 days ago. They all look like this jar. They have been at this stage for about 5 days. They were in total darkness at about 78f.
Are they as colonised as they are going to get?
Did the top dry out and they are done?
Should he go ahead and birth,dunk, and put in pod?

Well, it looks good and colonized... I would give it about one or two more days, RR sates 7 days for consolidation, or somethign around there.
If you see side pinning go ahead and birth them now though... Other than that, good luck good sir, and it looks beautiful!

My dry verm layer was not that thick upon inoculation. My question was, could it have dried out and it is now done?

yeah the bottom looks fine if your friend had to he could always scrape off the top part that isnt colonized and fruit it as is

That's actually great to know! And here I was thinking my vacuumed carpet was clean enough to even sit a lid on  Thank you! I mean I know that was obvious but I sure as hell had it in the very back of my mind.

Hey guys, Is it normal to have a 2cm shroom and 3 other 1 cm shrooms growing on cakes from PES Hawaiian spores only 3 days after the birthing. Everyone else seems to get them after a few weeks. 3 days was just so fast, the fist one i noted one day 2. I kept them in the jars for only 20 days. They are turning blue not which means the myceliums in distress, so, are the spores growing too fast and taking too much nutrients? This looks like a perfect TEK but I found it after I was well into my project. I just have a normal tub for a fruiting chamber. I'll add you guys some pics so you don't gotta strain your imagination lol.

Still could this kill the cakes or reduce flushes? Just being thorough.

be happy you dont have to wait..thats the worse part when first starting this hobby lol
if its fruiting it means it was either contamed or ready and i dont see any signs of a contam so i think you're good to go

Ok, that was just super fast and that took me by surprise compared to all my research. The cakes were blueing before I covered them in verm but I think everything is set now. Thank you so much.

My house stays at 61-62f Will the lighting warm it up to that needed 75f? Also, if not can I use a heatpad under the perlite?

you can keep them in darkness, but its beneficial to the myc to colonize in normal light.

Mushrooms colonized and fruit best in a normal day/night cycle(Circadian rhythm)
It's not beneficial to keep them in the dark nor is is beneficial to keep them in the light. You need to subject it to a normal day/night cycle. Its best to do this throughout the whole process.
Colonizing jars should be kept in a place at room temp and open in a place that has this natural light cycle compared to just a closet or tub that is dark 24/7

that filter is made from synthetic filter disc's you can purchase...alot of ppl use tyvek or polyfil.
