Wow, this is a great PF tek thread!
the only question i have is... How much gypsum would one use in the vermiculite?

1 tsp per 1/2 pint cake is what Ive read on here, and I just used 12 tsp in a mix for 12 1/2 pint jars

Gypsum is probably the biggest single improvement to the tek, providing a substantial boost in production. I use a tablespoon for five jars, but a teaspoon per jar should be fine too, although I'm not sure there's much benefit from the extra amount. RR

So i'm guessing i can get some Gypsum at the same place i would Vermiculite, or at least a gardening store.

Yeah. Even grocery store gardening centers (like fred meyers) carry it. It is very easy to find.
If the nursery you shop at doesn't carry it than call around, and if you still can't find it than ask a hardware/gardening center to order a box/bag in for you. ~P~

just punch a hole in your wall and place the cake directly in the cavity. mist several times daily. it will create a nice micro-climate that the fungi will love.
Then, you can brag to your friends that you got so many shrooms that "they're comin outta the walls!"

condensation in the jar is completely normal. I just finished birthing a bunch of jars, and they all had condensation and my cakes are starting to pin up nicely. I am by no means a pro, but i can safely say that it is normal.

I personally add around 28 Ml of extra verm after I hydrate the initial verm, just enough to soak up a little bit of the pooling water. I find a slightly dryer cake will colonize fast, less chances of contams and less chance of it stalling
