im from aus and we get psilo subs/eucalypta down there and they blue heaps. but nothing compared to these bad boys...

im in east london now btw

any idea on temperature ranges of the cyans? noticed its gonna be -1 on wednesday with no rain any time soon. does that spell game over???

habitat shot would be cool. Lots of people on here i think are still unsure of where to look having never found any before. How close to Barking are you btw..... id happily drive to you and borrow some spores :grin:..... sounds like elprawn would too :thumbup:

Leyton is only a few miles from Barking. I'd get the train. 11 minutes on the central line.

I was down there last night, mate. Always do my shopping in Leytonstone. There're certain things that are easier to find there than in Buckhurst Hill :smile:

your best bet now is to dry the cap completely.

put the dry cap into a cleaned/sterilised jar or pc'able plastic container.
shake the shit out of it,to dislodge any remaining spore/gill fragments.take the cap out and save.
attempt to germinate results on agar and transfer good growth away from the almost innevitable contams, untill you have a clean culture.

ok completely novice to the spore print/cultivating scene - more of a hand to mouth sort of guy, so hopefully havent ruined my chances...

i've got one cap, which i slightly wet and put face down on a piece of white paper with a glass over.. did this at about midnight last night - can see what i think is a print underneath the waves of the cap on the paper.

can someone direct me to some info about what to do next and when to do it?

the rest of them i hung out to dry and are now completely cracker. so this situation leads me to deuced's post unfortunately which may require some translating/some more straight forward info.

I'm thinking of sticking some woodchips in my garden. Then if I cultivate them there, I can use that as a base from which to redistribute the hyphae.
