No, they were pleasant. Well, until these Bible-toting, Lao Tzu quoting, US flag-toga wearing, Shroomerites came with torches to my ivory tower and threatened to drown me in the loch.

Some people, probably not you, see the position as it it were worth something, something of value. They don't realize what a royal pain-in-the-ass it really is. So, in that sense, I felt, as congratulations are usually expected in this situation, I offered mine.
You don't seem to be a long-timer. That's why I asked. The longevity of any one particular mod has a lot to do with their expectations, and their personal life offline. If you don't have a life outside the Interwebz, and the experience meets your expectations, and you like positions of power, you can maintain the position indefinitely.
One thing is certain, you won't be able to fix the forum. The tools are not at your disposal.
Don't feel bad though. If it could be fixed, it would have already been so.

It seems I'm the moderator, while Diploid has become the moderator hole, so everything's all yin and yang as it should be. Perhaps the reference was too vague.
