I know exactly what you're talking about! He sounds like an old wise man telling me everything is going to be OK. Definitely eases bad trips. I won't trip without them.

How could you trip without a few good shows laying around!!! YES that's what it was like. When I was about to lose my connection to reality I would listen to the story he was telling...and then the band backing it all up.....Oh my Jerry is as good as codeine

Jerry is definitely better than any type of opiate. On lower doses (ones where I can actually stand up to dance), the Grateful Dead can provide 10 minute full body orgasms over and over. There's nothing better.
