This feels like the time I voted for a Govt candidate and regretted it when he wen ahead to try and enforce his totalitarian ideology. 
I found myself thinking, perhaps it was better to vote for the religious war veteran after all!?

Sounds like a very rational idea. Any 'vote' is just endorsing the current system, so I agree on that level. But sometimes I have voted on who I think would be least likely to trample over too many of my rights.
Nowadays there is no lesser of two evils so to vote is pretty much pointless.

Since it's America I expect half of you to ignore the thread. Additionally I expect nearly everyone to bitch, gossip or hold ill opinions about the moderators and site managers. I also expect you to say you want freedom from any (moderator) rule, yet require more and more mods and then to turn around and blame everything on them.
