The government has hackers to. In fact I would go as far to say that it is in the best interest of our government to make people believe global warming is a scam. That way they don't have to change a damn thing. You think this country corporate masters want to change??? Seriously just think about it.

Carbon tax is a joke just like derivatives . The carbon industry is set to make billions over then next decade. for forest that are already there. seams like bs to me

I'm not very educated on the subject, but I'm curious -
what about carbon taxing are you opposed to? If it simultaneously makes money and reduces greenhouse gases, I don't really see why you'd be against it.

carbon taxing would limit and tax the amount of carbon companies can put out, thereby raising prices on anything or any sector of industry that puts out carbon. you could also argue that because of these taxes, many industries that are now situated in the US would move overseas to escape these taxes.
i'm not that knowledgable about to what degree human technology has an impact on global warming; but it's indisputable that carbon emissions destroy the ozone layer, pollute the air, and the water. if you want examples look at china, and los angles. breathing smog is bad mmmk?

the price of how we use fossil fuels is far greater than any price increase in goods could ever be, IMO. and if an american company won't change its ways for progress - something that is inevitable as far as using fossil fuels goes - then i'd rather see the money go overseas than stay here, screwing us all.
I'm really really high, so if I'm not making sense I apologize.

personally, i think progressing in technology is a far greater incentive for changing the status quo than by taxing carbon. any tax that is levied on these industries is just gonna be laid on the consumer; how's that for trickle-down economics.

Carbon taxes will tax domestically, whereas raising money to pay off national debt would be raised by taxing people trying to import into our country, or by selling things from our country.
Like: You're producing goods, but in doing so you're emitting COx gases by purchasing electricity, which most often comes from burning carbon fuels, such as petroleum or coal.
So you're paying for having used electricity to produce. Plus you pay for the electricity. Who does the money for this tax go to? The world? For having put COx into the planet's atmosphere?
Haha, we're funding the whole world governing machine by paying them for having produced/consumed.
But really, the money that is exchanged in our country, would be going to something. Some bureaucracy or something if we were taxed for carbons. But it would be going out of the hands of the people, out of the struggling companies, etc... and to something, apparently, hysterical.
These emails are purporting:
Whole world organisation
A decline in temperatures offshore, increase inland.
And conspiracy to defraud
That I have seen. So this may change the mind of Congress as to the cap and trade bill/act/whatever it is now.
That aside, if they money were to be coming into the hands of the citizens, we need to be producing something that the world wants on a large scale. Electronics (haha), steel, lead, vehicles, technology, pharmaceutical drugs, rope, food, etc...
But we're just taking so much of that junk into our country, that it's not hard to give back what we're doing.
As a country, if we want to raise money, we need to make stuff to sell to other countries, to decrease our debt.
Pay back the share of the American people somehow. And I don't see shit being done.
How about we become the trash man? Get the whole world to recycle, take in their plastics, vehicles, etc... And turn it back into raw materials to sell back to the world?
Plus technology/food...
That, my people, is the way.

Yep this seems legit. A "hacker" who steals out of context e-mails from one research institute and posts them online "because this is to important to hide" must be DEFINITIVE proof that the entire idea of man influenced global warming doesn't exist.
It must be the sun getting hotter, I just heard Pat Robinson say that, so it must be true.
And after all it is so easy to start and complete a world conspiracy involving thousands of researchers and hundreds of institutions. And all for what? So the government can have a justification to tax pollution. Oh right the researchers and politicians are all making millions by doing . . . something. Except no one can show me the millions they have made, or who specifically has made the millions. But I heard it, so it must be true.
Seems to me it might have been more efficient for the thousands researchers to just get part time minimum wage jobs rather than going through the hassle of starting a world wide, science discrediting, scheme to recreate the plot from James Bond's Goldfinger (that is if you replace gold with carbon credits).

Yeah, it's a conspiracy that began over 100 years ago with Svante Arrhenius (never heard of the prominent physical chemist & Nobel Prize recipient in chemistry, whose wrote the first scientific paper on the subject, making the connection between the IR & the GH effect, in 1986? That's okay, 99% of conspiracy theorists on the subject haven't either)... I think the guy was a Freemason or something, or maybe a Bolshevik.

There are too many factors. Sure, it is obvious that burning coal puts things into the air that wouldn't otherwise be there. Burning oil, as well. But our impact, RELATIVELY is small. We DO have an impact, but it's not major, nor anything to cause concern.
But, you should be concerned anyway, as to the state of things. They're not going our way, overall, as a species.
