They go around banning people for doing things like, disagreeing with them.

I am by no means trying to undermine the knowledge that he does have, and to weilii i did not really mean it like that.
I just feel that the presentation of his own ego and power trip that he throws around the cult forum is completely off putting to my former opinion of him as such a "helpful" person.
I have seen many cases of him being outright rude, demeaning and arrogant to many members, including people that are completely new to the hobby and have no basis for the "common sense" that i guess he thinks everyone is just born with, but when they ask their "noob" questions he takes the attitude to a completely needless level.
and if an experienced member argues with him with any kind of valid point... they are banned.

its one big power stuggle. its not always bad to fall in line. i.e.- RR is obviously superior to myself therefor i fall in line and "kiss ass" or you could call it being appreciative because im one of those people who wouldnt grow if it wasnt for the guy. roadkill rules too. It's kind of hard to believe when you say he's just a snake peddeling his dvd's that he would be a rude jackass while trying to sell his product to the same people(the noobs) that he needs. We're both entitled to our opinion but coming from someone who got the whole RR experience of not knowing shit to him walking me through the processes I wasn't clear on to the end product: 
for me to not stand up for him would be fucked up because he spent probably a few hours straightening me out on my shit.

and in your case he certainly does deserve the kudos he receives, but he essentially "looks for kudos" acting as if he is some "pioneer" of the field of mycology.
And the way he responds to most people... if he is gonna take the time to scold someone for not "doing their research" or using the search engine, why can he not just use that time and energy to answer a noobie's question instead of making them feel like they are out of place, or just an idiot for asking a question.

I absolutely loved giving noobs advice and making them feel welcome in these forums, but it seemed like nothing i typed was taken as anything more than on a grain of rice, so to speak, lol.
since i didn't have a trusted cultivator tag, and didn't have more than 2,000 posts that my advice was just spewing bullshit. lol. no matter the years of VERY successful experience i had, if it didn't come out of the mouth (or fingers, haha) of a popular character in these forums then my advice was irrelevant.

MY opinion is that he presents himself way too egotistically, and very often condescendingly, which belongs no where near a site made for helping people and keeping a community of similar interests together.

The only problem I have with RR is the spawn in noobs his advice has created. Never once have I seen a member with a few months registration talk to newer members like they run the fuggin place. If you dont know how to use the search engine pm me and Ill try to dumb everything down for you even more.

But if your completely retarded and dont know how to read and research...like everyone else had to do, maybe this hobby isnt for you? Then buy some dvd like a martha sterwart cook along? Cult is just a gay form now because of certain mods, that's why I contribute to helping people in the chat. Where people who actually create new things and contribute to furthering this hobby, not making it to where any fuckface in the world with a DVD player can grow, are mods. IE Citric.

well, i think thats a bunch of crap, for starters i began here as a weilii hunter and my interest of mushroom cultivation was sparked and then people began offering me sterile prints for wild ones! So I learned alot really fast, and it was really helpful to have trusted cultivators like roger rabbit to help filter out the loads of bs. say what you will! im smart, if i wasnt i wouldnt be here looking to emulate what works.

I have noticed that in the last month I have been back from a year off here that cult has gotten very childish. I don't go in other threads much. His persona is tacky, it's like white trash learned mycology, and he seems just as much a fool as all these kids who opt out or those feel family cats. I've heard of him banning several people for proving him wrong, or disagreeing with his methods, how is something like that tolerated here?

money tolerates anything.
i guess the community of mainly young men and women trying to learn makes him feel superior, some people just need places like this to feel superior in their own element; a place where it is rare that someone step in and correct him in his "omnipotent" knowledge, but if they do he gets rid of them.
I almost never see him answering questions in the advanced mycology forum, which would require a truly unique/genuine knowledge of his "hobby".

His persona is tacky, it's like white trash learned mycology, and he seems just as much a fool as all these kids who opt out or those feel family cats. I've heard of him banning several people for proving him wrong, or disagreeing with his methods, how is something like that tolerated here?

Secondly where do you get off slandering someone like that, who has contributed thousands of hours to helping people on this site and others, over the years?
