Nice one meams, I had a similar thing today.
I decided to try some barbell TGUs and single arm snatches (both awesome I must say, badass too). I did too many and couldn't do my press ladders because I had fatigued my shoulders too much with snatches and TGU, so I just went back to single armed barbell snatches. I got up 55lbs and it was awesome. Then I just picked back up the 20kg and put out two good reps easy, where I was struggling hard just before.
It seemed like the snatching motion was helping me coordinate full body firing for the press right after. It felt really good.
I finished off with 2 sets of 8 reps snatching the 24 kg each arm and then 30/30 with the 24 for 7 minutes, by that time my grip was shot from all the snatches and swings. Although I couldn't do my presses because I spent too much time doing TGUs/snatches it was still a good workout, and I definitely had a WTH moment in the middle.

Just had a good light day workout.
11/15/2009 -Warmup -5 x 1,2 C&P 16kg -10 sets of snatches in 15:15 format. ~7reps/set. -Cooldown & stretches
I'm going to do my snatches in 15:15 from now on to try and get used to the format for when I start vo2max after the ROP is done.

do you plan on finishing 24kg ROP before VWC? I want to be able to press the 32 before start, then I can use it to train for SSST.

What is VWC? Same thing as V02max?
As of right now I'm planning on doing 16kg VO2max before moving on to the 24kg ROP. That plan may change though. I'm also debating going back and revisiting the 24kg PM before doing the 24kg ROP. I already completed the 24kg PM, but I think it'd be nice to get used to throwin' the 24kg around before I started hte ROP with it.

Make sure to read Viking Warrior Conditioning (VWC) before trying Vo2 Max. It has some crucial info. Kenneth Jay is a monster and a great writer.

Word. I'll probably work on the 24kg PM & ROP before I do Vo2 then. I don't have time to read another book right now -- school is working me into the ground.

Well. Today was heavy day. I was grading tests all day on campus, and by the time I got back this afternoon and took my weed nap - i was just not in the mood to work out. In the m iddle of my shower I realized how dumb that was though - so I got out and did my heavy day. Next friday I go for the final ladder/rung combo (5x1,2,3,4,5)
11/20/2009 -Warmup -5 x 1,2,3,4 C&P w/ 16kg -1 24kg C&P per arm -A few min of one-armed swings w/ each arm (16kg) -Cooldown & stretches
I'm excited

Nice meams!
I was on a road trip with some friends for the last few days so I couldn't do my workouts. I went to Ottawa, Canada's capital it was pretty awesome.
I think I will do my light day tonight rather than tomorrow after a bit of work, just feel the urge to throw some iron around.

I've been working out regularly. No formal schedule but roughly like the recommended 5 day rotation with heavy days, variety days, swing days and TGU days...
This week i had my first 300 swing day - but i was taking 1.5 minute breaks between sets of 30 or 20. I was smoked after.
My TGU's were maybe slightly shakey towards the end before that, but today i knocked off 2 sets of 12 with what seemed to be ridiculously perfect form
(i was struggling with keeping my feet on the ground, previously.)
I've also started doing 10 squats after a set of halos.
edit: also GTG with pull ups, throughout the day.

On the front page, you should say what each of the abbreviations mean. Or not, whatever really.

Did 4 ladder of 2 rungs with 20kg today. Going for 4x3 on my heavy day this week.
I did some overhead squats which were good for opening the shoulders for presses. I finished off with some single arm barbell snatches and then some 20kg snatches and about 7 mins of 15:15 with the 16kg.
My shoulders and back have been tight as of late and I think it is hindering my press progression. I am trying some join mobility and exercises to help increase ROM to help improve presses.

Nicely done canna - keep up the good work!
Today was my medium day. This fri (hard day) i'll be on thanksgiving break up in NJ, so I'm just going to knock out lots of hand-stand pushups instead of doing C&Ps. I wouldn' thave been able to complete the final ladder (5x1,2,3,4,5) anyhow, so hopefully this week will just get me ready for NEXT WEEK - when i'll be able to do it (hopefully).
11/24/2009 -Warmup -5x 1,2,3,4 C&P 16kg -24kg two-arm swings for 6min -Cooldown/stretches

I recommend spending a few weeks on 5x5 before moving up. I feel like it would have done me good to use that volume to build up to the 24. I was lucky to have a 20 to move up to, and even that is proving hard. I have never had much press strength though, and it has improved so much.

I'm definitely going to spend a couple on the 5x5. I'm also going to go back and re-do the 24kg PM real quick before I move up to the 24kg ROP.
During the PM, I've decided that I'm only going to as many TGUs/side during my workout as I can do MINUTES of SWINGS on my swing day. Now, since my TGUs progress much faster than my swing numbers, I'm going to use my extra energy/strength after I finish my TGUs to practice 24kg C&Ps. That way by the time I'm ready to move up to the 24kg ROP I'll be well acquainted with the 24kg C&P
