 New York man arrested for "liquid marijuana"

Do you guys think that this is probably a JWH? I am very curious to see if he is actually charged under some dubious interpretation of the analog act. Although I suppose there is the possibility that the substance in question was actually some sort of marijuana tincture or extraction.

Liquid Marijuana Seized in Brooklyn
In what the police called an unusual drug arrest, a Brooklyn man was charged on Wednesday with selling liquid marijuana.
“It has not been seen around here before,” said Capt. Gerard Dowling of the Manhattan South narcotics division, referring to a dark green mixture of alcohol and marijuana.
The police said they seized eight Mason jars of the substance on Wednesday from the home of the man, Anthony Briordy, 32. They said they also seized cocaine and prescription painkillers, including OxyContin.
An undercover officer began purchasing the liquid and other drugs from Mr. Briordy about two months ago, the police said. Mr. Briordy was said to have told the officer that the liquid was often mixed with fruit punch.
The police said that throughout the investigation, Mr. Briordy told the officer that he made the mixture at home and that a four-ounce dose of it was stronger than one marijuana cigarette.
The liquid was classified as a controlled substance, the police said, after laboratory tests determined that it was an extremely potent form of marijuana.

basically take a bottle of everclear, add stems, buds, kief, what ever herb you have laying around. let it sit for a month or longer. strain and add to 7up.
for our tincture, we added a ten strip of L along with about 8g of kief and an ounce of primo bud. one shot of this stuff put you on your ass for the rest of the night. needless to say, it was hard to stop with only one shot. those that puked got an experience but those strong enough to keep it down were sent to the moon

If you want to make it faster than a month (like in an hour), you grind up your bud and spread it across a baking sheet. Put it into a 325 degree oven for about 5 minutes (or until it turns bronze and starts to smoke). Use a thermometer in your oven to make sure it's no higher than 325. You don't want to destroy your bud in the oven! This step is supposedly to 'activate' the THC in the bud.
Then you get everclear - other liquors will work, I'm told, but the higher the proof the better. Everclear is like 90% alcohol by volume. You mix the oven-activated bud with the everclear. I use about .5 grams per ounce of alcohol. How much you use depends on how good your weed is. So I usually make it by the quart and I put a little over half an ounce in. Anyways, you heat up a pot of water to between 165 and 170 F. Use a thermometer! Alcohol starts to vaporize at like 175 F, so you want to get the temp really close to that (to optimize THC extraction) without hitting that temp and vaporizing your alcohol. You put the alcohol/weed mixture in a container (like a canning jar) and then put that into the hot water - so a double broiler. Then you sit and watch it for 30 minutes making sure the temperature stays in the right range and that the alcohol doesn't catch fire and burn you house down.
After 30 minutes, you dump the mixture into a different container through a piece of cheese cloth to strain out the plant matter. You'll be left with a very green liquid. Usually 1 ounce of the stuff I make lays me out. Mix it with sprite, simple syrup and a lime wedge for a very refreshing drink. It also works well for taking it into places that it's tough to just blaze up. You can inconspicuously get stoned off of your ass pretty much anywhere.
Be sure to store it out of the light. And when you make it, your house is going to smell absolutely incriminating, so do it when nobody is around and light a shitload of incense (or use air fresheners).

Well that doesn't necessarily mean anything. How do you think gasoline is made?

At any rate, it's always worked for me. I made the dragon about 4 times and the finished product always kicks ass. You're welcome to try it without preheating the bud. If you do, let us know how it works out.

Yes, and since THC doesn't start to vaporize until like 350 - 375 F, it's safe to heat it up to that point. Of course, it's better to play it safe, which is why 325 F is recomended. You can play it even safer and use 300 F instead, if you'd like. I just followed the recipe I found though and it worked great.

Obviously, that's your choice, but then you might as well not heat the alcohol/bud mixture, either, for your same reasoning. Outside of that, you're looking at waiting like a month to make a batch of green dragon. And since I've never done it that way, I can't attest to how good or bad it comes out.
However, my point is that, clearly the weed wasn't affected in the process if I got 32 good doses out of a half ounce of weed. Ontop of that (and this is sort of besides the point), when you drink green dragon, you stay high much longer than when you smoke it. Although I do recommend taking it on an empty or nearly empty stomach to maximize effects and accelerate absorption.

The oven step is helpful to decarboxylize the THCA, which is inactive, into THC. It is not required but it makes the final result more potent.
Pothead_bob forgot what I would consider the most important step when making green dragon quickly - Grinding it up real fine to increase surface area. Its much easier if you do this step after the oven. A coffee grinder is ideal.

I thought I mentioned that too, but yes that is an important step. More surface area for thc extraction. Rooster, that's why I said you have to use a thermometer. You definatly gotta be careful about not going over temp, but once the oven light goes off and your thermo says the right temp u should be good. Plus u only put it in 4 like 5 mins so there isn't much time for the temp to go apeshit. Just keep an eye on it.

I never understood why drug smugglers would transport raw bud vs purified extract or hash.
This marijuana juice sounds interesting. Though the highs from digesting vs smoking is much different.

Most of the thc is absorbed in about a minute or so. After that you are just getting plant material that can make you sick.

yeah i have heard of people vaping alcohol with a enhaler type deal i guess, but injecting it just seems dumb...like super dumb, that has got to wreak havok on your veins and shit. ive heard of a guy injecting rum or something but im pretty sure the dude was full of shit on a verry serious level. dude said that the guy had a terrible headache and passed out..the end....see what i mean?

i'd say 325 is way too high i've done the method of 220 for 15-20 minutes just for smoking and it definitely makes it more potent

i was watching this documentary where (i think it was in sweden, whatever the leading country in medical marijuana research) where they had a nearly pure liquid thc compound for more accurate dosing. and lolly pops.
i just ran out of hash and i dont know where to get more, purp is good but it goes so fast.. is this a similar method like making hash to improve the high or is it the same thing in a different form when you are done?

I read another method for making green dragon which calls for heating the bud at 200 for 20 minutes. When at 325, you are only keeping it in for 5 minutes. Perhaps both techs produce the same results?

The oven method is correct but the trick is not to vaporize it but just get it up to that point. There is a chemical release that increases the THC content when extracted in alcohol. the cool method of extract will work but doesn't obtain the full THC content from your weed. Now I am jonesing for some....

naw an u dont want the alcohol, because thats legal and lame, the trick is to extract the pure marijuana from the bud so you can drink it. because if you smoke it you will get addicted
