Whats your favourite Sci-Fi movie ?

For me 'Aliens' is probably one of the greatest sci-fi movies ever. I'm here at uni and I got kinda frustrated with all that revising and shit. So I decided to turn to the shroomery cause if its immense wisdom and ask for a recommendation. I prefer stuff from the 80s and early 90s cause in my opinion most of the contemporary crap is not worth even downloading.. Thanx)

really tough question. i love a lot of sci-fi movies for completely different reasons.
2001 is just a fucking masterpiece. however, it's the sort of film that i only like to watch once or twice a year.
bladerunner is epic, even with 80s glam shining through some of the characters.
i'm a firefly fanboy, so of course i love serenity.
the first matrix will always hold a special place in my heart. i like to pretend the 2nd and 3rd never happened. the first was pretty fucking badass though.

Lord of the Rings isn't sci-fi you clown.

Artificial Intelligence. Even if the kid can be annoying at times, it helps when he's not playing a human being.

Also, for a kid's movie with Matt Damon and Drew Barrymore as voice actors, Titan AE sure made an impression on me.

Star Trek, also fantasy. It's just space fantasy.
Dune isn't exactly 'sci-fi', but I have enjoyed every version of it I've watched.
