Watch the National Geographic channel tonight as they show today's scientists bringing LSD back into the lab.
Scientists will be talking about LSD's medical uses and potential for medical use.
The program is called "Explorer" and There is another good episode about Marijuana.
Well anyways enjoy watching tonight's episode about LSD.
And if anyone can record this please do and tell me if you do. thanks. Peace out

I need to meet Annie
-------------------- Did he dream about dragons? Did he dream about deer? Did he whisper he names of friends who were near?
What songs did they play, and how far away? Why did he whisper, why did she scream?
What does the sound of a screen door mean?
Who talks on the hill? Who goes to the cellar, can you feel the chill? Where does the river, when will the wind?
How far are the mountains? Where do they end? Why would the church?
Did the service begin? Tell me who died, and tell me who cried.
Help me hide in the skin of a deer, my zippered-up bag in the mouth of a stag so swiftly I go through rows of does,
it flows, it flows, it flows, it flows all over the hill where the green grass grows.

National Geographic is so uplifting and realistic.
I realize they have a liberal bias, but they really do make an effort to present many different points of view. They're, if you will, the NPR of television
It sucks I don't have the NG channel...but I watched some videos on their site. Myk

They just gave some rats 160mcg. every other day for a long time, that's a lof of LSD for a little rat. I feel bad for them though, IDK it's necessary research and better to be done on rats then people, well IDK, lol.

Yea do that please. And yes Id sign up right away if they started the acid tests again.
Ken Kesey was a subject in government sponsored studies of LSD and mescaline for those of you who don't know of him.
But yea hopefully this show opens peoples mind about LSD.
It's only 8:13 here so I'm still waiting to watch it. It's supposed to come on at 10:00

I might agree it was scare tactics....
Besides the fact that they had the police calls..... And they are dead now. Mom didnt seem too worried about scaring anyone either....
I do wonder if they were on more than just meth..... Then again..... total noobs on a meth binge.......
I used to live in Omaha, Thought that was pretty cool.

Yeah, They didnt outright say "they only smoked one hit...."
But, your right, it did seem implied.
Meh, gotta protect the "good country girl" and "popular outgoing guy" from having a bad rep once they are dead.
I mean, whats mom going to say "Yeah, I knew she was experimenting with drugs, But, I didnt think it would come to this."
Mom is probably already dealing with guilt issues , than to have to say that on TV....
Either way, Meth is a sh1t drug. Kids. Dont try it. Stick with the acid and weed.

I have 1 more hour until the LSD Episode.
It's funny how they show the guy making meth and they say "We are going to leave out a few crucial ingrediants so that nobody tries it at home."
I don't think they know what Google can do. Thats how I found out how to grow shrooms.

I've seen the marijuana episode and I like how they ended it.
They ended with asking something along the lines of "If someone dropped seeds in your hand and told you that the plant can make clothing, heal the sick, or even intoxicate, would you just throw them away?"
I thought that was pretty cool. I hope they open up about LSD the same way. If things such as LSD, DMT, mushrooms, mescaline, and marijuana were made accessible to the public then we might have more spiritual people around today.

I very much dislike this attitude.
Not only are we as humans content in declaring species-centrism to the extent that we declare animals property and abuse them in horrible ways physically and emotionally, but even experienced users of psychedelics are comfortable with denying non-humans cognitive liberty.
NO being should have its consciousness altered beyond its own desire. Remember when you went to hell for 8 hours because you needed to learn? Imagine someone doing that to you every day because they feel themselves justified to do so.
It's just wrong. I believe in self-determination. There is a serious argument for denying animals self-determination (they don't abide by social rules and would murder, steal and tresspass regularly) but there is simply no excuse for dosing beings because you "need to see what'll happen".
Be your own guinea pig, seriously. We already know that there are serious problems in transposing/extrapolating results gained from experiments with one species to another. Given the subjectivity of psychedelics it'd only stand to reason that such a venture is even less likely to actually be helpful.
I am horribly sorry for bringing this up in this thread. I know it doesn't quite belong here but this issue irks me and I felt the need to speak my mind.
I saw the special. It was okay.

It was awesome. Very informative and somewhat un biased the whole time. VERY interesting that there might be "medical psychedelics" in the future. National Geographic FTW! Hahahah But seriously. EVERYONE should watch this special. Along with the one of weed. That one is great.

It's supposed to come on at 10:00
I'm very interested in seeing the torrent up. I did a Google search for the torrent and came up with this thread lol. Love the Shroomery !
So anyone that has it and can post the torrent, it'd be much appreciated!

Watched it was pretty good. I really just can't stand the whole "Bad trip" segment that nearly all psyechedelic drug shows impliment. They act like the drug is causing them danger, when in reality its usually just people figuring out that they actually are a shitty person. "Alice" took too much at a psychedelic party and "friends were putting it in drinks" that sounds like an outright lie. Don't take acid in irresponsible settings, plain and simple. Nat geo tried to make it out that the drug over powered alice and the drug caused her danger. When in reality it was her own poor decision making skills about when and where to take the acid that put her in danger.

So is it worth the watch, or is it heavily biased as these things tend to be? :p So far, the opinions I've read seems to be rather divided.
It has started popping up on trackers, I guess I'll have to snatch it and find out for myself.

It was the most unbiased look at LSD in the mainstream that I've ever seen. Definitely worth a watch. I loved the people they interviewed.

Also DVRing it.
They just gave some rats 160mcg. every other day for a long time, that's a lof of LSD for a little rat. I feel bad for them though, IDK it's necessary research and better to be done on rats then people, well IDK, lol.
They didn't force feed the rats, and they stated that the rats would start to wait just for their next dose after awhile. This implies that they had "self-determination" (maybe not equal to us, but they are rats, we are humans.)
I probably would have felt bad for them if I hadn't recently seen a few videos of animals on astronomical doses of acid for bad propaganda studies decades ago. That was bad.
It wasn't to "see what happens next". It was to induce schizophrenia in order to find a way to help your fellow man. Maybe there are some problems with comparing findings from animals and transposing them into humans, but it can help us narrow down the search. After something has potential then it does go into a human trial period. It is better for us to narrow down the amount of tests that we put on humans than to try everything on humans.
I'd guess you are a peta member or want to be. There is nothing wrong with that, but some of their messages are irresponsible and over the top.
If you don't
Sorry to reply, but you brought it up.
(P.S. I am a devout animal lover, but I'd kill my own dog to save a humans life)

I record them all. All the Explorer's are awesome (for the most part).
I've never wanted to do acid more than when I was watching that.
The mask experiment was very cool. And I was glad to see they touched up on psilocybin. I'd like to see an Explorer devoted to psychedelic mushrooms. That would be fun.

not to bad at all, its very interesting how something so potent discovered by accident was then being researched by various people, including the CIA (and very irresponsibly) to it getting out into the public and then all of a sudden deemed dangereous.
Those doses back in the 60's were pretty strong! no wonder people were going insane.
Its pretty suspicious that 1 of the peeps that worked from the cia who got it slipped in his drink had a very bad experience was very different for weeks afterwords, then apparently jumped out of a window.

lol very strange.
My parents own a considerable amount of land and a house for which they must pay alot of taxes. As things have been a little tight this year, the idea of growing weed appealed to my mother. We had only really talked about marijuana in a passing way up to that point. She knew I smoked but she'd never confronted me about. Now she's asking me about my connections.

I submit for your consideration;
- She was not wearing gloves - She was not using brown glass (with mL markings) to store the liquid - She was not pouring the liquid from the bottle to the cap into a glass pyrex baking dish (or other collector to catch any drops/spills)
She did have a graduated syringe for transfering to the bottles, but she was measuring only 1mL into the bottle. Vials usually get 2.45 mL for 100 doses, but I think they said that amount was 200 doses (1mL would be 25-30 hits). But since the vials were just being used to drop, IDK if that matters at all...It could be real...

Watched it a second time with my friends last night while high. It had a strangely powerful impact for me that time.
Seeing those 2 firedancer people talk about how LSD made them calmer and more patient was pretty awesome.

fatso said: idk. some stuff seemed fake. for example, i doubt that drug dealer girl had a whole bottle full of liquid.
I submit for your consideration;
ALL LOVE, DW
You can easily get 100-1000 dose vials.
People who trip don't wear gloves. They rather not waste the LSD.
Why would you need mL markers if you diluted the solution so each drop is 1 hit?
Why need something to collect excess? If you drop them 1 at a time you dont miss your target. You use a pyrex baking dish if you're laying out sheets.
There is no standard mL per dose. You make it work out to be whatever you want (strong or weak).
People have liquid, she easily could have. They interviewed some real trippers. A vial of LSD is really no big deal. Now a barrel full of LSD would be something to talk about.
