My upbringing was quik and medicated. The fact that we never had money and I was crazy and made my two stepfathers( ) go in to debt has bothered me.
My uppbring was pathetic religous as my people never taught me anything except sayings and songs about God.

Born in a small family rich enough not to worry about what will we eat tomorrow, I was raptured by the Internet since a young age. Being it so, it's kind of an unspoken agreement ( which sometimes comes to surface as outraging rants ) that discussion between me and my family about anything deeper than "what's up, how have you been" etc. is not possible.
Thus, I developed a value system totally independent from my family and my immediate environment as a matter of fact.

My educational experience have always been tricky and cumbersome since kindengarden. I won't say that I was too smart for school, but at least I was too weird for them to handle.
Outside my school hours I studied intensely, injuring my health and social life outside the virtual world.

I began to learn languages out of fun, but as I immersed myself into it I wondered about becoming a professional translator and interpreter. It's a freelance job carried mainly over the Internet, and I don't know what I would be working on if I weren't doing this. Maybe devoting myself to computer and musical languages, as I attempted earlier in life.
4 and 5
Every child has an innate sense of spirituality, but when you are first introduced to the adult world in the West as a teenager, you must either put it into words or give up and play insane games.
My first attempt on this was cynic atheism, as an organic reaction to what was going on. Nowadays I play with an ecletic system that I developed over the years that encompasses everything from Ikkyu's koans to Terence McKenna's rants on the alien origins of psilocybin. My values are so exotic to the people around me that they are incomprehensible, and often disregarded as mad and marginal. "But my jewel is the All-Mother", as Laozi would say; and I'm happy to not so rarely find like-minded people all over the Internet.

I was brought up as middle/upper class within the Bay Area, Northern California. My father was VP of Intelsat(aerospace engineering co.) and my mother a housewife. My father is Hindu, my mother is Catholic. They've never really forced, nor discuss religion upon me.
2. How was your educational experience? Did you enjoy school? Were you academically-oriented, or disinterested? How much of your education has found application in your daily life?
I *hated* school all the way up to high school. I presume it was because I was under the average reading level for my age, and lacked patience, listening and reading skills, and was brought down by the negative attitudes of my peers, this ended on my high school graduation. When college came around, it was amazing. I was there to learn, as was everyone else, seemingly. The subjects were most fascinating and I immediately dove into the field of psychology. My education has found tremendous application in my everyday life, as I am an excellent critical thinker who never ceases to develop his analytical ability and deductive reasoning. My education has brought me a heightened awareness, however has made me a more critical person.
3. What career interests you? Are you working in this career now? Do you feel satisfied in your work, or is it mainly a paycheck job? What work would you do if you did not have to earn money?
I aspire to be the CEO of a major technological corporation. I am very ambitious, competitive, and enjoy the rush of being in business. I will couple my degree in psychology with an M.B.A from a prestigious business school and work my way through the ranks.
4. Has your philosophy/spirituality changed much over the years? Have you had epiphanies or rude awakenings which led you to reconsider your beliefs/values? At what age did you first become interested in philosophy/spirituality?
At the age of 14, was the time I began to think about life philosophies; why we are existing on this planet, other life entities within the universe, and the concept of death. My first mushroom experience left me with a dying urge to stimulate my brain, and I've been working hard at it ever since...Neuroplasticity is a gift.
5. What are your core values? How are these values expressed in your daily life? Do you feel that your values are similar or dissimilar to those of the majority?
I believe in emotional stability, trusted friendships, financial success, conservative values, but VERY democratic :P. I am HUGE on 'respect' and showing it to others. Very dependable.

working class. Father standart low income. No high education in family. No serious religious lifestyle. No philophie no spirit.

I was raised in the United Church of Canada, my father wasn't all that observant (one of those "go on Christmas/Easter" guys). We didn't really discuss it all that much, at the time (as a child) it made perfect sense to me so I didn't have much to discuss.

I absolutely loathed public school, most useless crap I've ever seen, outside basic math and reading (which I could have learned just as effectively elsewhere) it was largely a chore. I wound up stupidly dropping out at 16, eventually went back to school and have a Social Services Diploma...just now working towards a steady job in that field (and discovering how thick my skin can actually be)

I would have loved to go for a philosophy degree, I already voraciously eat up philosophical and religious texts, unfortunately the 4 year University course is both bloody expensive and sadly the chances of good work out of a philosophy degree aren't incredibly great. The world doesn't need any more brilliant homeless people :P

My philosophy has done anything BUT remain constant. I was a Christian until I was around 14, at that period I started getting into bands like The Doors, and through them got exposed to writers like Nietzsche. From there I drifted through various mixes of beliefs, I considered myself Pagan for a time, Buddhist, Thelemite and so on until I reached where I am now...now what one would CALL what I am now, that's a bit trickier...

How do you mean "core values"? As in my fundamental beliefs? Well...I'm an Implicit/Soft Atheist, I approach that atheism with an eye to syncretism as well often incorporating aspects of Christianity, Taoism, or whatever I stumble across into something cohesive that works for me. I tend to lean toward the Existential side of things, holding the view that people need remain fully accountable for their actions. I also lack a belief in any absolute morality which is something I view as a socially, familially or personally developed norm which depends on where you're born, who your born to, when your born and so on. As such I tend to take the context of the act over the actual act itself, murder for example I find morally reprehensible but to kill in order to protect the life of a loved one or myself I have no qualms whatsoever about. Theft as well, I'm generally against it and yet I can feel morally justified in accepting a starving man stealing bread to feed his family.

mixture of middle-upper middle class. my parents and grandparents are all pretty devout catholic, and by devout i mean follow the religion blindly like sheep. i don't mean to sound judgmental, i love my family, but it's the truth. i started to have problems with the religion myself at a very young age when i started learning about mortal and venial sins in sunday school. didn't seem right to me, and i never felt comfortable in church. when i started to question things, my parents were very supportive of me exploring and finding something that would work for me. i read "the tao of pooh" when i was in a sophmore in high school, which changed my life and introduced me to eastern philosophy which would become a huge part of my life.

I only enjoyed and did well in the subjects I found interesting: english, languages, history, performance, singing, etc etc. i left college after my sophmore year for this exact reason. i prefer to teach myself and/or learn through experience....

i am currently building a career as a yoga teacher and producing a comedy web series. until yoga picks up (which could take a few years) i still have to do the occasional side job, but i don't mind and am very happy with how my yoga teaching career is developing. :)

i became interested in spirituality around the age of 16 when i first read "the tao of pooh". after a very spiritual lsd trip in the summer of 2000 (i was 20) i decided to delve more into learning about eastern philosophies, and i picked up the tao te ching off my book shelf and devoured the thing in about 30 minutes. i discovered yoga that same summer and my personal spiritual philosophy is that the tao te ching is my path, and yoga gives me the tools to experience the tao.
i had an epiphany/moment of enlightenment (i think it was beginners luck or something) while meditating with tibetan buddhist group almost two years ago. it was the highest i have ever been.
5. What are your core values? How are these values expressed in your daily life? Do you feel that your values are similar or dissimilar to those of the majority?
i would say my core values are simplicity, patience and compassion.
