They are stuntzii, because they have a blue ring on the stem.

At first glance I thought they were cyanofriscosa too

They are probably Psilocybe ovoideocystidiata.

Don't eat all of them, send a few to Workman or someone that can confirm with a microscope, maybe they are something else.  Make some semi-sterile spore prints on tinfoil.

What state did you find these in?

its crazy how the wispy mycelium is still on the cap in those pics.

:smoker: I'll be waiting the outcome but I pick many Ovoids and although they do have similar characteristics they are very different.
From what they grow in the habitat of your area and the blue ring present that's just where I put my guess

I would love to find out I am wrong but I don't agree they are Ovoids

I agree with you about the ovoids, they don't look like the pictures Ive seen. Iam also really new to this and there for actually have no clue! Ive just seen these a million times over last few months and noticed the blue ring. After picking up them probably 20x i finally took a picture and posted here.

Yes I think so!  The spores are the right size and shape.

I hope I can find time to look at the cystidia but I have at least 100 pictures to upload from today.

This is the first P. ovoideocystidia find from Rhode Island.  I created a MO observation to get it on the official distribution map.  This is the furthest east that this species has been collected.

All I did is put the spores on there and took a picture.  You should be complaining that I didn't do more.

I should have measured the spores (30 of them) and posted pictures of the cheilocystidia and pleurocystidia.

Maybe I will.
