Ever thought you'd been spotted by the cops while out picking them lovely mushrooms? if so share your expirence and how ya felt at the time

What is the legality of this? Can you be arrested for picking one? What if you haven't actually put it on your person yet? Seems silly to me.

It would suck, erm it would be anger and indigence if El Fascismo ever took my shrooms.
I guess I'm lucky in that i have a field no-one else knows of, half an acre of joy supplying 5 or 6 dry oz per season.

There is nothing illegal about picking mushrooms, unless you are intentionally looking for active/illegal species. I always have a field guide, with bookmarked pages of edibles or anything interesting non active to keep an eye out for. Also pick some non actives to toss in the mix, they would have a harder time proving you're just after actives with an even mix of edibles,

we went out yesterday to a very good spot covered in libs and on our way back to the car park we spotted a police car parked near our car so we decided to hide the bags of mushies we'd picked and was crapping it thinking we'd be busted then the cop car turned to face us and put its lights on us as if it was watching us at this point i was really scared but then they drove away THANK GOD!!!!! but we got lots
