I've done that, it definitely makes me feel higher... It could be placebo though 
my lungs always feel like shit after though, and I always get really antisocial that's the only thing I don't like about it

This kinda happened to me not on purpose haha...me and my friend had some ground up xanys in a nugjug, killed them in a few lines, then my friend put his bud in his nugjug and when we opened it a little later to smoke there was a xanax powder covering the nugs

Idk from what I read it seems like it doesn't work, and your best bet would be to get pure powder instead of pills, smokin pills is kinda risky.
