Amanita phalloides

and here's tonight's dinner:

Laccaria proxima

Laccaria amethystina

Laccaria laccata

Lycoperdon perlatum

Coprinus comatus

Fistulina hepatica

-others-
Amanita muscaria

Gymnopilus luteofolius

Boletus species, I believe it's edible as I saw it in a street market display as well.

False chanterelle

All in all it was a great hunt. Plenty of edibles found and some other very interesting mushrooms as well. Hope you enjoyed the pics

Way nice Looks like a good meal. How did you prepare the inky caps? I find them unpalatable, personally.

I remember the first time I ate a 'wild' mushroom (i.e., not store bought). It was coprinus comatus, picked from a lawn by my late mother, so this was somewhere around 1985 or 86. My mom put it (it was just one specimen...) in our pasta sauce. That was the only time I ate coprinus and actually liked it. Nowadays, I find them slimy and they somehow tend to bring on a gag reflex in me.

First and only edible ive found for myself is coprinus comatus. Did the scrambled egg deal, turned out slimy like a slug. Ate it anyway though . Also i washed them pretty thoroughly in water even though i knew i shouldnt have.

Which of these three do you think I should nominate for POTM, I'm having trouble deciding...they're all so good:

That was the one I was leaning towards, but then I saw the other two.
Oh yea, there isn't an October POTM thread yet, is there?
