That's super fucked up #1. That sort of shame is the kind of thing that produces alcoholism. Were you molested as a child? Where did you get the idea that sex was bad? Sex is wonderful!!!!! I was raised Catholic and SUPER strictly about sex, but I always had a natural resistance to puritanical ideas about sex. I have my own problems with self-esteem and shame, so I understand where you are coming from. But to be ashamed about your own sexuality is to be ashamed about one of the most fundamental and private part of yourself. You need to go to therapy. Self-hatred will eat away at you, and you'll never stay sober if you continue to feel like that.
