One time when I was a kid tripping with my brother. (LSD not shrooms). I tried to scare him. It back fired.I had all the lights out and like I said I was trying to scare my brother. Well I ended up scaring myself and the whole trip turned to a trip to hell. At one point I was laying in bed trying to come down and the sheet that was covering me seemed to turn to flesh.I could hear this twisting metal in my head. It was so loud.I also sensed the floor was splitting open and hell was waiting.I suggest at least for me not to listen to Slayer while tripping. At another point I went to heat up a sloppy joe to eat and when I opened the microwave I thought I saw a couple of ants in it. Well I chalked that up to tripping. When I took my first bite of the sloppy joe I felt that it was full of ants. It felt like they were biting the inside of my mouth. it turn out that there wasn't even any ants there. Hours of hellish things happened to me.. That is the day I realized I needed to respect acid and shrooms.

One of my first visuals I got was really, really strange. Thousands and thousands of disembodied slightly non-human but human like mouths creating a vortex, all laughing. But laughing in a way that they where overjoyed of my presence, overcome with joy of my journey starting... I could see these mouths in front of me, behind me, 360 vision.

The point of music is not to alter your consciousness.
I think you just think the point of everything is to alter your consciousness.
Music tells a story. It expresses feelings and beauty, though both mathematics and emotion. Alteration of consciousness is a sub-effect at best, and is an effect at the whim of the interpreter. Not mandatory, and certainly not primary.

I saw 2d arrows crawling all over everything, moving like snakes and rivers swiveling inbetween the outlines of every object i looked at.
I also looked into the stars, and they would morph and it looked like they were all curling around my head, and then... The whole sky pulsed black, blacker than any black I've ever seen in my whole life. It was so black that I can almost not even imagine what it looked like anymore, it was the most intense thing in the world looking at the stars. And the 2d arrows were forming ropes from star to star, still swiveling around and flowing like a river.

I was in a completely dark room with music on. I was having a harsh come-up and I felt very anxious and had a stomach ache. I was laying on a bed, I'm not sure if my eye's were opened or closed. Everything about me including my body dissolved in to the room and the world and was replaced with pure euphoria. My black vision was replaced with a 3 dimensional display of swirling purple, yellow, blue, and eye's that looked a lot like Alex Grey art but infinitely more detailed. The eye's were closest to me. I knew I was peaking so I tried to ask the mushroom spirits to take me on the trip that I needed to have. In some kind of reply my visuals stayed the same, with all of the colors and eye's and everything, but the form of it's 3D structure morphed into a females face. Everything went back to black and I remembered who and what I was and I started laughing. I looked at the light coming through the closed door and decided that I was done with that room and walked out. I later talked to my friend, who was sober at the time, about this experience and asked him how long I was in that room for. I felt like it was no more than a minute. He told me it was about an hour. The weirdest thing about it, I had only eaten a dub. The trip also lasted about 10 hours and was very clear minded. Were the mushies possibly dosed with acid?

I agree.I should have never tried to scare him. Again I was a kid being stupid. that was 20 years ago. I've learned a lot since then.
I don't think Slayer is evil or anything. I just think it is not good trip setting music. Kerry King is not a great guitarist but, he can write some good catchy riffs. He must be doing something right.He's making the money playing guitar.

i'd have to say the coolest/scariest was when the garden gnomes came to life...
except they had shanks...
and it was a pretty dark night.
you don't know fear until you're trapped overnight on an island with knife wielding garden gnomes lurking in the shadows waiting to slice your achilles tendon.
there ain't shit that can prepare you for that.

Closed eye visual.. I was floating forward through a black forest and mushrooms as tall as me were singing opera as a choir and I was feeling pure job.
On the negative, I got out of a bath that was way too hot, and the cd changed to a black metal band and looking in the mirror I thought I was looking at Satan [which was my reflection].
Both were on the same trip. I had two doses of 6 fresh cubensis for a friend and me. After I ate mine, he decided not to trip, and I ate all of his at some point... 12fresh.

I guess it was a CEV... I saw a weird worm-like creature thingy slowly making its way around my brain eating it up. But it was like timed, on a track or somethin... I can't explain how I saw it; I didn't disticntly see it in detail. Rather it was a strange image/feeling I could sorta sense. Highly uncomfortable...

On an eighth of boomers I watched my 8 year old siberian husky turn into a puppy then back into an older dog, thing is I got him when he was 7 years old and never saw him as a pup. It felt like he was trying to explain his whole life to me. Another time while tripping with my gf I watched the night sky turn to day. The moon changed to the sun and everything. I turned to my girlfriend to tell her then turn back and it was night again. man I love shrooms. I am a dog trainer and nothing connects me more to dogs the mushrooms, its like you can hear their thoughts.
