This took 2 people 35 of straight snippin stems. I filled my basket fast and had to take my shirt off and tie the sleeves and neck off to get them all home. Sorry about no habitat shots. I wish i had em to. I feel truly, truly blessed to have found this anywhere, none the less PDX. The earth smiles on me today i guess.

Jesus way to gloat!!!

I think you are right about that man. I got a little too antsy cause there was some kid walking threw my patch. He was not very good at covering his intentions. hahaha! His head was down for 5 minutes at a time and spent about 2 minutes crouching over nothing... funny kids.

Thats a portion of my patch that i didnt know existed until today. it is clearly part of tha same patch i have been gathering from (all my previous pics this year)which is made up of one more equally sized fruiting portion. They are about 20 yds apart with single mushrooms scatterd between the two locations and mycelia visible. so, i guess its about half a patch.

this is what i have found in the last couple days. first off, i wen back to my newly discovered baeo spot. and to my surprise, it was quite fruitful. no habitat photos, but here's the haul. got around 250.

now these next ones I'm not positive what they are. i came across them last time i picked here, got a few specimens, took some pics and posted them. didjin_d thought they might have been Armillaria mellea but i think they look different. i think they could be Stunzi's. i took a spore print of one and it came out blackish with faint purple. here's some better pictures of young and old specimens.

ok so all those were found like 4 days ago. i went out today and found these guys. got a bunch of cyans and found either some interesting friscosa's or some azure's, but I'm not sure. I'm currently waiting for a couple spore prints to finish. what do you think?

in this last pic above, the known friscosa picked is on the right side and the unknown(friscosa of azure) on left. same with the below pic.
these next two are a larger comparison. friscosa is on the left and uknown is on right.

and here's a pic of all the cyans i got!

all around its been a good week!

Sure, sure! He's one of the "Ol' psychedelic mushroom institutions".
It was very sad that this community and he had to go different ways. In my opinion both sides made some wrong decisions on this issue.

I don't think any one dislikes John or anything like that, so I'm not sure where that comes from, however I do know he feels like there was a time to fallout of formation so to speak.

he was a very cool guy in person. i remember like 6 years ago when i was a lurker on this forum, his pictures of ringers were what i used as my main reference for when i went on my very first hunt. he was saying that he frequents mycotopia now-a-days.
anyway. back to my main point. i finished with some spore prints of the ones i think are azures and it came out brown/purple which makes me believe, even more now, that theyre azure's. they look quite tasty. cant wait to try them out!

if you know where those were taken, i would be thoroughly surprised. took me some time to try and figure out how to get back there.

I wanna see finds from south of PDX. I feel it's a myth down here. Do people not use computers in Oregon?

It definately happens. I know of teens and young adults that go picking in Bandon, Coos Bay, Gold Beach, reedsport. I also know of a Police Officer who picks Cyanescens in Bandon, OR.
