Maybe, but then again, maybe not... Actually I didn't not try on my lunch break, but my not-not trying didn't not turn up results, but rather the results not aquired were those witch I was trying for, Maybe tomorrow I'll try not trying and not end up with the results I didn't get today. besides bending over to look at a soggy mushroom resulting in my dumping a gallon of water off my umbrella down the back of my pants (as my shirt had risen up while bending over ) and leaving me with no interesting shrooms, a wet ass, and 4 1/2 more hours of work to go.

I wish I could visit the Gathering and Travel thread, but I guess you have to have a certain amount of leeway around here first, which makes sense I also wish I knew where to look (not specific locations), but I won't ask here since I think that's forum violation. Good luck with all your future hunting! Wish me luck too!
Good luck bro.

I'm so paranoid about someone finding my one and only Baeos patch. Seems to be confirmed now, but it's my first patch and for now the only one and if it gets trampled I'm gonna be so bumed. It's way too close to way too busy of a place. Glad the rain is finally here, though. gonna start checking blackberry bushes tomorrow.
Here are some of the little guys.

And a big one, all covered in mulch dirt.

It's official, Portland cyans are up! I checked a couple patches I know and the one without sprinklers wasn't showing any signs yet. Looks like the season finally arrived in PDX Should be full swing in a couple weeks.

Just went down to check on my patch from last year n didn't see any Carmel tops but did see someone walking their tiny little dog back thru where I've found plenty o bounty before. If you are a fellow shroomerite that's cool, as long as you aren't raping any poor pins! I didn't see any cyans, I'm afraid they may be gone

So where i live i am less inland than Portland and about an hours drive south of Portland, so should our season be similar? Because i have found no cyan's yet. But there has been lots of rain lately i might go hunt today.

Just went hunting again today
Not even so much as a pin. In fact the pins I found about a week or two ago of some small unknown species in a field, they are completely gone. The only mushrooms I found are those same boletus species I found in that one guy's yard - and guess what, they're dying.
Skagit is sucking big time for mushrooms !! I'm jealous of you guys in Seattle and Portland with your rainstorms, because it has barely rained at all here :/
Qustions like --On that note - anyone else in Skagit finding shrooms anywhere? Don't have to say where I just want to know whether anyone else here is having success. are not allowed due to rule # 4:
4. Do not ask about current finds in your area. These posts have been flooding the forum for years. If you're curious about if mushrooms are growing in your area, get out there and look! Mushrooms don't read the books. Sometimes they fruit outside of season. There is no set date for any season, only vast generalizations. Your best bet is that if it's close to the season for the mushroom you are looking for and its been raining, you just might find some.
