Or you could do some research (there's plenty of info on this site) and learn how to ID actives yourself!

Uncalled for Bawc. Hes right. Everything you need is on this site a multiple others. You are perfectly capable of learning the things necesary to make ID a few species if actives is all you want. If your not, mushroom hunting may not be a good hobby. We all had to learn too.

Went to a spot today i've kept an eye on the past month cause it looked promising and exactly where i expected (or hoped) some would show, they did!

I knew i'd find some elders if i searched harder...

a bunch more pins

These were found within about fifty feet of the ocean in bellingham, wa.

OR...OR...you two could open up your mind to the idea that some people are social and would like to hunt with other people. i'm sorry you two see things through such loner perspectives.

bawc - please take the bullshit to OTD or the pub or something. this post is for active finds only. it doesn't sound like you're trying to find a hunting partner, it sounds like you're trying to find a free teacher to spoonfeed you all the info. it's not gonna work out that way. with the attitude you've already shown you would obviously make a lousy student. and no ones really looking for a student who has no patience and nothing to offer, not even the basic mycology knowledge readily available on this website.... just please leave the pointless flaming off this forum.

the more people who you bring along the less mushrooms you end up with in the end..
shroom hunting = unsocial hobby

I am going to go out on a limb here and say that whether or not they have been found, cyanescens grow somewhere in every single city in the PNW. Every single city! just think about it! There could be some growing within 100 feet of you RIGHT NOW!

I often ponder just how many mushrooms I don't see everyday. I bet for every 1 I see, there's probably 1000 more don't.

Luckily my spot is pretty dew heavy, and near swampland. I still gave them a shower though.

Twiztedsage, I'm beginning to suspect that we live close to one another. I think I saw a fellow shroomerite at the park yesterday, he certainly looked like he knew what I was doing. I certainly didn't, heh.

My newest spot has at least 150 pins. Those are just the pics that turned out.
And Rainstorm, I have not seen any other picker in any spot this year. It is so early that not many people are out yet.
I even had a dude and his girlfriend tell me I was too early. Ok buddy, then why do I have 5 grams of Baeos at home and many cyans scouted and in waiting....
I just said "I am? Bummer. Thanks dude"!

I got out for a walk in a different park today. The weather is fine for getting your daily dose of vitamin d and exercise, but not for finding anything. Found small amounts of a few varieties, one of which had produced a couple of larger specimens, but it was too dry out there.

Thought I had found a bunch of cyan pins but none of them bruised blue sadly As I was checking them out, some 70 year old guy walks up to me asking if I need help identifying the fungi. He was hella cool and was talking with me about psilocybin mushrooms and how he used to pick em when he was younger.
