yeah those freaks are finding stuff, but it's in really well watered areas that don't need natural rainfall to get them going. Look for the first night frost, and you'll find them more easily. The first frost is a good indicator of the entrance into an Autumn hunting season.

I have been finding actives for years, and I always find them well before any frosts.
But then again I am one of the "freaks" that has posted actives this season....
I guess I just hunt too much.

ya dude you never know what your going to come upon, and if you live in the PNW you would know that we only last night got rain in the past 10 days I'm betting those cyans could just be a little unhealthy from dehydration.. if i came upon those at any point this season i would probably shit myself from joy

All my previous patches are barren.
Every mushroom I have found this year was in a new patch.

Some more Gymnopilus luteofolius.
I accudentally pulled up a bit of myc today when I got the cluster. So i twisted it off and stuck it in a different wood chip pile (prolly won't do anything, but who knows? )

I'm glad to see more beao finds. I find those very difficult to find. I will be focusing primarily on hunting beaos this year.
